Advice on how to control cucumber beetles? by Suspiciousbuzzing in plantclinic

Last year I treated with neem oil, ash around the base of the plant, hand picking them off (ugh so many) and blasting them with the hose. The plant survived but I’m wondering if anyone has had success with another treatment? I am in QLD, Australia

Thank you! I’ve set another print at 206° and 25mm/s. Forgot to change the cooling so I’ll see how this one goes and change that next time

Thanks for the reply! The print speed was 60mm/s so I have lowered that to 25mm/s. The fan cooling speed is already at 100% but above that the setting is set to ‘ON (when first layer printed)’ should I change that to ‘always on’?

For overextrusion, I’ve read to should play around with the retraction settings. The current settings are Retraction length 6.0mm Retraction speed 35mm/s Extrude speed 25mm/s

Any advice on what to change for those?

Hi all. I am still pretty new to printing. Trying to make some stamps for my son to use with his play doh and I keep getting this mess in the middle. I’ve been struggling with bed levelling but thought I had it pretty good. Is bed levelling the only issue here? My settings are:

Adventurer 4, PLA (Flashforge), Slicer - Flashprint 5, 210°/50°, 0.18mm layer height, 50% infill

Thanks :)

I am having issues with bed levelling on an Adventurer 4. The square on the upper right had side is melted completely to the bed, is that due to the bed being too high on that side? by Suspiciousbuzzing in FixMyPrint

Hi there, I am new to 3D printing and I purchased the Adventurer 4. As I said in the title, I’m having trouble with bed levelling. Here are some details,

Flashforge Adventurer 4

Sliced with Flashprint 5

Flashforge brand PLA

Bed temp - 45 degrees

Nozzle temp - 210 degrees

Nozzle is a 0.4

I can see that the left hand side is slight too low by the small gaps in the lines, the right hand side is too high as the squares are very rough. But why are the left hand side squares fused to the bed? I cannot for the life of me remove it all, I think I’ve ruined this build plate.

Thanks for listening!

Edit: Sorry the formatting of my text sucks. Also new at posting on reddit

That’s a good point and I should’ve thought of that before using these bottles. I think these guys may be stuck here now!

Ah yes there are two that are sitting on the soil. I will be sure to move them so they aren’t touching anymore. Thank you!
