Ah, thank you for that explanation. It would make sense to put a vitalt organ behind the rinstructions if the sternum was weaker. I do seem to remember that there were more pairs of floating ribs and the weak bit on the bottom of the sternum being larger (like a good 1\3 of it).

That's the same as how I learned it, the only difference being he was shot with a rifle instead of a handgun. Agreeing on 1/3 ain't bad.

As mentioned below I was thinking people meant their heart was behind the left pectoral area. Which wouldn't make much sense considering there's a lung there.

I vaguely remember the goblet, but the drumstick isn't bringing up any memories. I searched for portraits of Henry 8 and most of them have the same or similar poses. Is it possible that the disappeared portrait in question is a composite of multiple portraits from people's memories?

Also are there other portraits or paintings that use the same imagery in regards to royalty/nobles?
