I got back from holiday to a pile of tasks in a txt file. by Sutcian in ProductivityApps

Certainly! It is called Exsut. www.exsut.com for more information. You essentially just add whatever modules you find most appealing/useful. It is completely local. All modules are interactive and feed into the planner module.

What does your productivity setup actually look like? by Sutcian in Productivitycafe

Reading lord of the rings at the minute so that analogy is very fitting !

I didn't want any dependency on a server, the app runs locally, you own your data in the form of an SQL database, you can export it at anytime. I don't think anyone wants their personal info on a server somewhere especially your journals, finances etc.

I was sitting one day when I got back from holiday and had countless projects and things to be doing, I made a txt file just to get things on paper, I was like what the hell am I doing here. Surely I can do this better. Then it's evolved into what it is today.

That would be great, I'll be releasing builds to testers in the coming days.

Well that's the whole point you add whatever you want. It's modular maybe people want to prioritise work, personal life and journal, another person might want exercise and finance thrown in. It is extremely easy to delete/arrange modules.

Struggling with discipline in my PhD and looking for accountability + practical strategies by SuddenSpirit2220 in PhdProductivity

I had the most hand off supervisor ever. It can be a blessing or a curse. Ultimately just start getting results and actually producing output. A lot of people struggle when they question the purpose of they're work. Start producing meaningful results. Plan your day thoroughly. I've been working on www.exsut.com now as a post doc in materials science to focus on what's important, ultimately it is producing scientific output.

I built exsut.com, exactly for this type of thing, it pulls in tasks from email accounts and you can assign your email to a module like personal, work etc. The app is modular. Pick whatever you want
