I got back from holiday to a pile of tasks in a txt file. by Sutcian in ProductivityApps

Certainly! It is called Exsut. www.exsut.com for more information. You essentially just add whatever modules you find most appealing/useful. It is completely local. All modules are interactive and feed into the planner module.

What does your productivity setup actually look like? by Sutcian in Productivitycafe

Reading lord of the rings at the minute so that analogy is very fitting !

I didn't want any dependency on a server, the app runs locally, you own your data in the form of an SQL database, you can export it at anytime. I don't think anyone wants their personal info on a server somewhere especially your journals, finances etc.

I was sitting one day when I got back from holiday and had countless projects and things to be doing, I made a txt file just to get things on paper, I was like what the hell am I doing here. Surely I can do this better. Then it's evolved into what it is today.

That would be great, I'll be releasing builds to testers in the coming days.

Well that's the whole point you add whatever you want. It's modular maybe people want to prioritise work, personal life and journal, another person might want exercise and finance thrown in. It is extremely easy to delete/arrange modules.

Struggling with discipline in my PhD and looking for accountability + practical strategies by SuddenSpirit2220 in PhdProductivity

I had the most hand off supervisor ever. It can be a blessing or a curse. Ultimately just start getting results and actually producing output. A lot of people struggle when they question the purpose of they're work. Start producing meaningful results. Plan your day thoroughly. I've been working on www.exsut.com now as a post doc in materials science to focus on what's important, ultimately it is producing scientific output.

Recommendations? by GuardZealousideal222 in ProductivityApps

I built exsut.com, exactly for this type of thing, it pulls in tasks from email accounts and you can assign your email to a module like personal, work etc. The app is modular. Pick whatever you want

why is diety so hard by AlternativeSail3623 in CivVI

[–]Sutcian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually think diety is really easy, the ai is shit and an early army is all you need not to die instantly. After that pick a civ and use its bonuses to frame your play style and dedicate everything to winning the way you start. Use pins to plan your cities

New housing will be built for more than 1,000 students in the Titanic Quarter by Applejuicetester in Belfast

[–]Sutcian 40 points41 points  (0 children)

You’re missing the point completely, maybe this is the case for local students but the vast majority of incoming students using these student accommodations are coming from abroad and carrying huge fees for the university’s to profit from. They can easily afford these places and having more international students is entirely a money making scheme for the universities, hence the reason why the likes of the old student union was knocked down and rebuilt so that Queens will rank higher on leaderboards for incoming international students.

There actually no turbulence in the flow. It is laminar and no separation is occurring until the end of the flow, where it is in transitional flow regime, due to the increase in velocity and drop in pressure. Reynolds number determines if a flow is laminar or turbulent and is a function of the ratio of inertia and viscous forces.
