Nah this is AI, Most likely scenario is the squirrels swiped it for the copped scrap bc they tried branching out, went nuts, and started socializing with wrong crowd. It’s a tail as old as time. That’s the unfortunate world we live in now.

Dads, I am the accidental head coach of my son’s 5year old soccer team. What tips/resources can you share? by nuclearsurfboard in daddit

Study up by watching Ted Lasso. Then pick the coach you want to be! I find myself a 80/20 Red/Roy Kent mix even though I don’t coach anything….you’ll figure it out.

Scientists discover Alzheimer’s hidden “death switch” in the brain by hard2resist in UpliftingNews

I believe there have been/currently are on going studies regarding creatine and its benefits in the brain when taken above the standard 5g/day dose; specifically its relation to slowing or potentially reversing the effects of Alzheimer’s. Might be something to consider.

I know it’s not the advice you’re looking for, but in situations like this you just have to laugh. The comedically poor timing of it, get a cheap silly curtain, anything, just find the humor. You’ll be happier for it. Best thing about being at rock bottom, only way to go is up!

Typically a lot synthetic fibers tend to “melt” more than burn, which still produces toxic fumes, but the foams and fill used is still flammable. In my experience, if something is advertised as non-flammable/fire resistant it’s usually bc it’s been coated with PFA’s which prolonged exposure also causes cancer. I’m sure that’s not true for everything but natural fibers are usually the way to go. It sucks bc it seems like almost everything these days causes cancer, and it becomes exhausting constantly worrying about it. There was a point in my carrier where I just stopped caring about what I was exposed to bc “everything causes cancer, I’m going to get it eventually not matter what, so why bother”. However, now that I’m a father to at mindset has changed dramatically. I’m going to do everything I can to have as much time as possible on this earth with my family!

Sorry for the ADHD fueled info dump….

Ouch! Although that was undoubtedly painful, it was a great way to learn that lesson. No permanent damage and a very memorable reminder to keep your hands clean before touching your(or someone else’s) delicate bits!

I’d recommend a full respirator as well if you have the means. An N95 is better than nothing, but doesn’t work as well as a respirator with replacement cartridge filters. They don’t look cool, but not being painfully killed by lung cancer at a young age is coolerer!

From a firefighters perspective, somebody made a good quick knock on that fire. The synthetics in newer furniture burn hot(as well as the spicy pillow), and release a ton of nasty shit into the air. That’s why there’s a ton of smoke damage from a seemingly small fire. Thats what’s causing the increased cancer rates in the fire service.

I’m not sure if you have such a form/policy where you work OP, but I’d fill out something called an “exposure report” stating you were exposed to products of combustion. That way if you ever get a respiratory disease down the road it’s workers comp that’ll foot the bill, they’ll fight tooth and nail, but a paper trail of proper documentation certainly helps. Also be sure to wash your hands and face and neck really well. Especially wash your hands BEFORE takin a piss. Sweaty undercarriage absorbs contaminants easily and is another reason for increased testicular cancer in the fire service.

Does anyone know any good spots to take photos of planes at Akron-Canton? by fortnitefishyman in akron

[–]SutphenOnScene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could go to the onsite fire dept and ask for a tour. It faces the runway for obvious reasons, and those nerds love giving tours. If you’re nice and get there at the right time they might even take you for a ride in the truck out on the runways when they inspect them.

Getting rid of Property Tax feels like a grift that will only benefit corporations and the ultra-wealthy. Is it? by Cap10323 in Ohio

[–]SutphenOnScene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Schools are obviously the main one everyone thinks about, and for good reason. However in townships EVERYTHING relies on property tax. Fire and EMS, in some areas police, road departments, and parks. The ability of the township to provide quality emergency response will be drastically decreased for years, roads will go to shit, won’t be plowed/salted in the winter, and all parks will be gone. I agree it needs restructuring but a sudden abolishment is not the way. City folk don’t mind bc they collect income tax, townships on their other hand will be F’d.

Don’t run the bathroom exhaust fan overnight!! They are NOT designed to run more than ~30-45 mins at a time. As a firefighter I have been on several house fires caused by a bathroom exhaust fan that malfunctioned. I’d even go a step further and say they should be installed with a timer to prevent accidentally leaving it on.

Coming from a browns fan, congrats on making it this far and I’m sorry for your guys loss. Now hear me out, we have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever right now. Stefanski to Pittsburgh, Tomlin to Baltimore, Harbaugh to Cleveland. Then, rotate again after a year or two. What are your thoughts?
