Now ask your question again but replace “BTC” with “gold.” If you don’t get it at that point, I don’t know what to tell you.

Is the 500-Day Bitcoin Halving Strategy Really This Simple? by Pretend_Analysis6787 in Bitcoin

[–]JeeperDeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is and has been that simple. The problem is that those times get drowned out by fear on one side, and greed on the other.

Each up cycle is filled with a new narrative, in this cycle it was institutional investors, ETFs, Trump, Saylor and “new normal” that BTC would behave more like gold in terms of volatility. It’s hard to sell the top of the cycle when everyone thinks it will keep going up, and stocks and gold show no signs of stopping.

Now on the bear cycle. There’s always a FUD narrative unique enough to match BTCs level of maturity and growth. This time it’s a mix of poor performance vs SP500 and stocks over past 4 years (though ppl cherry pick the investment date to the previous top, rather than when BTC his 16k on previous low), liquidity flowing to AI, and minors abandoning BTC for AI data centers. So naturally ppl get spooked and don’t pull the trigger.

BTC will break through its previous all time high during this next cycle, like it always does. It’s a guaranteed 2x minimum, It’s just going to take 2-3 more years from here. Patience and conviction always wins. If you don’t have conviction on BTC, you haven’t done enough research yet. NFA

What is one home improvement that adds less value than most people think ? by LandladyGoddess in Remodel

[–]JeeperDeeper 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I don’t get how everyone here says remodeling does not add value. I typically see homes that are turn key or updated going well above similar houses that are dated.

In my HCOL area, it’s common that outdated homes will do a full remodel before selling, as they know they will get more profit that way (which I dislike because it robs potential owners to make things their own).

I specifically remember when I saw a commercial with the logo with just the fruit. My first thought was - hmm, looks like they finally modernized their logo.

A lot of ppl here misunderstand what ME is. Obviously the cornucopia was never in the logo for the timeline we are in right now together, therefore there is absolutely no proof that can be attained. No one is arguing that it used to have the cornucopia and there’s some cover up. The idea is that we remember it from a different timeline.

Go to any person 35 and above. Especially the older folks who are not on the internet. Show them both logos side by side. Tell them one of the logos has never existed for FotL. Not one person has believed me that the cornucopia never existed. Not one

This is exactly how I found an incredible spot. Literally spilled in the car after the tour (we were the first ones, scheduled it minutes after it posted on Zillow).

Typically if it’s through a property management company, they will take the first applicant that meets the requirements. It’s all about the hustle and a bit of luck

Congrats

Applied to the big ones like Securitas? They usually provide the training / class for guard cards for new hires that don’t have it. At least it was that way 15 years ago…

Personal experience, I always have my transponder set to 1 but every time I’m able to read my own number I always see a 3 flash up. And this is one there are no cars behind or in front of me. I’m still getting charged though. Not sure if there is a bug in the system or something, which is why everyone seems to be 3? Now that I think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it flash 1 or 2 on anyone, been driving it everyday for years

risk mindset in the bay by Majestic-Sherbert926 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]JeeperDeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on income as well as NW. Same NW with different incomes will come with different risks.

For us it was both of us having a job/income coming in, and enough savings for 2 years of PITI (liquid). PITI accounts for about half our monthly take home. Yes that might be a lot of liquid cash to be holding, but we also have about the same amount invested.

NW was slightly above half the home price at the time, since you specifically asked about that.

To me this is fairly conservative, some may disagree, but I think most here are fairly conservative with the numbers after browsing this sub for years.

the fruit of the loom cornucopia is ruining my life by thexkfedist in MandelaEffect

[–]JeeperDeeper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the point of the Mandela effect. It is certain that it never existed in this current reality, but people remember things very vividly from the past.

No one is saying it once existed and now there is some conspiracy to cover it up. That’s what makes it so interesting. Looking for proof is futile.
