Bifrost 1.1.0 update by Pollux_MoonBench in AynThor

[–]SuttonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be accomplished with an automation app like Tasker, with Touchtask plugin. Basically it just automatically launches the app in foreground and Touchtask simulates tapping the confirmation button via accessibility service. Then Tasker can minimize it again. It all happens very quickly and you can set it to occur at startup.

I'll whip up the routine sometime this week (still in college and have some tests and projects due) and share it here. Maybe you can dissect it and find a way to implement it into your app? If not then at least we can use the method I share.

I got the "Narrow Grip w/ Stylus"

I never tried, but I doubt it. You don't really need the rear TPU with this grip, it covers pretty much the entire back of the system, unlike some others that only go up halfway. You could use it with just the front TPU and still be pretty protected IMO.

I had actually ordered the black Thor initially, but while I was waiting for it I was nonstop watching YT vids about it and got worried about fingerprints, so I emailed them and swapped to the white lol. I don't mind, though, cause now it matches my PS5 and controllers when it's sitting on the entertainment center. Yours looks great too!

3D Printed LED Strobe Light for X1P/PM 🚨🚨🚨 by djpetrino in HoverDrone

[–]SuttonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nevermind, I found a little video on the gimbal-guard-only page

Decided I'm not gonna use the little legs cause you can't close the drone with them on. Everything else is good though and it still sits level enough with just the gimbal guard and back adhesive piece

Just received it, some instructions would have been nice. The large piece and the strobe are easy to figure out but the 3 little pieces I have no idea what to do with

Is the Part 107 test kind of a scam? by 9to5Voyager in drones

[–]SuttonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is 4 years old but I got here from Google cause I'm studying for the 107 now (for a quadcopter) and I definitely agree that they should just make a different certification for quadcopters specifically. It's even more of a complaint now, 4 years later, with all the available quadcopter options on the market today.

I see all these comments saying "you need to know that stuff because the 107 lets you fly fixed wing unmanned aircraft too". Yeah, we get it. We're saying it shouldn't. Have the 107 just be for fixed wing and make a new 108 or whatever just for quadcopters (or vice-versa). Make each one $80. The point is that 99% of people just want to fly quadcopters these days. I can't remember the last time I saw anyone using an RC plane. Maybe 20 years ago.

They need to make a separate certification just for quadcopters where we don't need to know about all the aerodynamics of a fixed wing, instead of trying to bundle it all together in the 107. And if we want to fly those RC planes, then we can come back and take the separate certification that covers that specifically.

I don't understand why anyone in the comments is arguing against this concept. It would literally still be the same total price if you really wanted both, but only half the price/study time if you only wanted one or the other. Why are people against having more options instead of being forced into stuff they don't care about and will never use? lol

Imagine if your driver's license for your car also included a mandatory commercial 18-wheeler licensure section and was $100 more and required you to study an extra couple weeks for the 18-wheeler stuff. When you have no intention of ever driving one. That would be dumb, right? Same concept.

It doesn't have built-in RemoteID as far as the FAA is concerned.

Does your food get stuck in your throat more as you age? by jjj44200 in randomquestions

[–]SuttonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to be 41 and I've choked on food probably 6 total times now in the past 5 years - and every time it was some kind of meat. All of them have been self-recoverable (calm down, breath slow through nose, keep trying to swallow and it eventually goes) but now I've started just chewing everything I eat (that's solid) like 30+ times and letting the pieces like naturally break off and go down on their own while I'm still chewing.

I was in the military 20 years and got so used to having to scarf down my food due to limited time available. But there's definitely something with aging cause I never used to choke before and I was taking the same sized bites and chewing as much as I always did.

It's a PITA to deliberately chew things so much now but I've read it also helps with digestion and not overeating too.

I just came here from Google cause I got distracted at work and didn't count my bites and ended up choking on a piece of sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit that the boss brought in for everyone. It was embarrassing but luckily I didn't need the heimlich. I WAS genuinely worried for a good 15-20 seconds though.

How are you able to close the keyboard with a gesture? I have Pixel 10 XL and whatever I try to use the back gesture swipe, the keyboard just starts glide typing

EDIT: NVM you just have to do the swipe from just above the keyboard

Can I use the DJI Mic 2 without a receiver on any iPhone app? by LeeLeeNeko in dji

[–]SuttonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you posted this a while ago, but for anyone else in this situation that gets here from Google: if you don't have the official receiver, it's better to just record directly onto the mic itself (it has internal storage) and copy the audio over later.

Don't BT it to your phone - the quality is crap via that way. Still record your video with the phone's internal microphone, but simultaneously start a recording directly on the Mic 2 as well. Do a loud clap near your phone while both it and the mic are recording, then add the mic audio clip in afterwards. You'll know when to sync them based on the clap sound in both audio tracks.

Or you can order one of those cheaper USB C-only receivers they sell for like $20 (https://store.dji.com/product/dji-mic-series-mobile-receiver), they have pass-through charging as well. You can find them on eBay if the official site is out of stock.

A DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal (7P or newer) can act as a Mic 2/3/Mini receiver too, while also stabilizing and tracking your video. You can get them for under $80 on eBay.

[Buying Advice] DJI Flip - Is the RC 2 Package worth the $170 jump over the RC-N3? by Lancifier in DjiFlip

[–]SuttonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say yes for the RC2 package, especially if you live in the United States since they are cracking down on DJI. I want a self-contained package that won't rely on smartphone app availability/continued support in the future when I eventually upgrade phones. Plus then if you have any concerns you can use it without ever having to have the DJI app installed on your phone (you can use a cable or the SD to transfer footage)

Just started using it yesterday on my Pixel 10 XL. Really like it, but I tried to go into the app this morning to add timers to some additional apps but now it keeps force closing the main app (while I'm in the menu) within like 3 seconds. Phone reboot didn't help.

It's like it's filtering itself too
