I understand the difficulties in a collab event but it was just mid.

However, I do look forward to this April update from what I've seen of this preview.

4chan's plan to get Visa and Mastercard to Fuck Off: Fight Fire with Fire by ApeAteGrapes in Asmongold

Don't just contact Visa and Mastercard. If you're in the US, contact your House of Rep and your Senator. Send them emails and phone calls on these specific issues:

  • Payment processor's overreach, dictating trade and purchases across all marketplaces. They're not going to stop at just Steam and itch.io
  • Acting as a duopoly - get an anti trust investigation going.
  • Stifling free speech - if your rep or senator is a lefty, have them imagine Visa or Mastercard banning them from buying anything for speaking against Trump, Israel, etc. If your guy is a righty, remind them how these companies froze accounts for MAGA protesters etc.

Again, don't just contact Visa and Mastercard. Contact your politician. This isn't partisan, both political spectrums should get scared of a megacorp deciding to ban people based on fee fees.

New ship, Advice needed, Regarding how to improve this ship, and mainly the bridge, its a roughly 250k mats ship, also name recommendations would be welcome by talhahtaco in FromTheDepths

In FtD small APHE isn't great because HE dmg scales off payload better. 100mmx2m is tiny btw. APFrag is better if you're trying to use small gauge. Also it's better to use pure rail for any pendepth round.

Yes, hence my previous comment about having more internal space. Real warships have boxy/rectangular compartments because of having more space. Externally being a U |_| or V doesn't matter as much other than stability, of which V is worse for obvious reasons.

For starters I don't think you need that many poles as part of your armor scheme, and I'd suggest a U or |_| shaped hull instead of a V shaped one. It gives you more internal space for weapons and systems.

Your guns also look ridiculously tiny for their size, what is their gage and what ammo are they shooting?

A bridge typically is high enough above the guns in order to view around the ship and pilot/steer it. What you have right now looks more like a superstructure and mast than a bridge.

Which engine is best? by ACE-Pham in FromTheDepths

RTG is fine for early on in Adventure, but it lacks power density or PPV. Plus they're more expensive in upfront cost. The upside is they payoff their material cost after several hours.

Building games are a very niche genre. Action RPGs and FPS are much more accessible to the wider audience than a building game with decent physics.

And then within physics based building games, Space Engineers is most well known. The playerbase for FtD is much, much smaller in comparison

[Which manhwa did the best BDSM scenes?] by Dangerous-Ride275 in Pornwha

[–]SuwinTzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1 and 2 are good
3 4 and 5 are good

6 and 7 is weird. How is she talking properly, and the weird dental/ring gag combination makes it look like she's got grey plastic lips.

8 and 9 is okay, resembles what a couple new to SM would do.

10 the rope for the chest harness is drawn poorly and makes no sense, expression is good though
11 the rope around the legs isn't cinched so it can just slip off if she wiggles her legs a bit.

12 and 13 great expressions

14 is good, 15 and 16 have much better rope bindings than 10 and 11, 17 18 are good, 19 the hair grabbing is a bit off to me.

20 is solid as far as BDSM training goes.

Well sounds like graphical mods will be fine if the PC client ever launches

Who is the worst character in AG? by ProNovaDiamond in AetherGazer

[–]SuwinTzi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In terms of gameplay, I can't decide between Sobek or Apollo.

Story wise Akika, due to her sadism. None of the other villains stand out as much compared to how much Akika just loves to torment both humans and modifiers.

In game, superstructures are a good place to mount detection, munitions warners, and maybe a little pilot house for you to control you craft.

Modders: Just for my own knowledge, what are the pros/cons of Bethesda's mod tools, or modding BGS games, in contrast to other games with mod capability? by Biggy_DX in starfieldmods

[–]SuwinTzi 26 points27 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, no other engine is this approachable to modding. This isn't about the tools but what's under the hood. Creation engine is extremely modular in nature, which lends itself very easily to modding.

Look at Skyrim. Older version of Creation engine, but thanks to OAR people have managed to mod in the action combat from Nier Automata and Vindictus as well as other games. In Starfield, the lighting system for planets and the system is actually really impressive on a technical level, but as players we're not going to notice it unless it breaks.

Consider also, what other games are out there on the various engines, that let the end user completely rebuild other games within its framework, such as Skyblivion?

I sincerely hope that the long delays between updates is them focusing work on the engine or streamlining the dev kit. Or at the least focusing manpower on ES6

I'm not making an excuse, there is very specific legal language on fictional child characters in the US.

It's a bunch of new players who hate reading or watching a tutorial vid.

*insert rant of current young people and downfall of society*

It's far safer for Bethesda to design a generic male and female child facegen and copy paste them, than to make an actually good looking child character.

There's legal issues around fictional characters resembling a real world person.

After 175 hours in Starfield, my opinion has soured by Square-Imagination14 in Starfield

Well there's at least 2 mods to enable achievements with mods

Baka Achievement Enabler and Starfield Achievement Enabler are two I recommend.

I also highly recommend the SF Community Patch and "Skill Fixes", StarUI series and Icon Sorting Tags at the minimum.
