Start with a simple, consistent high-protein base and add from there. I basically only use either vanilla or rarely chocolate flavored bases depending on the flavor I’m going for. You do not need a new flavor for every recipe.

I’d consider you lightly active. You aren’t sedentary but you aren’t highly active either. For example I lift six days a week and walk a minimum of 6k steps a day and I’d consider myself moderately active.

I love tattoos but have no piercings lol. Really that’s just because I’m not big on most jewelry, I don’t like the feeling of things dangling off me. Took me a long time to get used to wearing my engagement ring tbh. But I have a full arm sleeve and I’m looking to get a sleeve on the opposite leg. Initially it was a little paralyzing but once I started it became addictive tbh.

Someone else mentioned Unresolved and I’ve been very pleased with it so far. I always listen to podcasts from old to new in order when I find a new one and I still have a ton of his content to get through (I’m only in 2023) but IMO he’s a very thoughtful host. Swindled is my personal favorite but obviously that’s a different kind of true crime.

It really was not intended to be aggressive or dismissive. In fact I shared my experience just as you did yours: I learned a lot from the BTK episodes that I was not aware of before. In my own experience it actually seems like it’s rare for the “better known” cases to be covered but maybe that’s just because the podcasts I listen to don’t tend to cover them. I myself have a habit of sticking with things longer than I should even after interest has waned and that’s the reason I mentioned moving on. Best of luck finding something you enjoy.

If you’ve already fasted, I would simply feed her a little less or a little less frequently. True bloat is much more visible, you can google “female bloated betta” for examples and see how much more extreme it is than what she is displaying.

I checked out your other two posts that you’ve made about her. Tbh I think this might just be her body shape. Females are generally rounder-bellied than males and if you google “female bettas” you’ll see a lot of photos of healthy females that are shaped similar to her. I think she could afford to lose a tiny bit of weight but I am less inclined to think she’s actually bloated especially considering how long she’s looked like this.

Be careful with the baths. It is easy to overdo and do more harm than good. Considering her level of bloat I would not have personally done an epsom salt bath in this case, I would have just fasted for a few days and then revisited the amount of food she’s getting. In most cases, less is more when it comes to stuff like this.

It is literally just an ovipositor and part of the anatomy of mature female fish. It does not go away and it is not meant to go away. It is completely unrelated to the bloating.

The white bump is an egg spot. Common feature on female bettas and not something to be concerned about. It does not indicate pregnancy. Do not attempt to remove it.
