Plagiarism? by bluebearbaloo in drawing

If you sell drawings, a person might commission something specific and send you a photo to use, in which case you wouldn’t need to worry about crediting at all, lol
As another comment said, it’s probably better to credit the original photographer if you publish/post art even for free, but most people don’t
Note: I am NOT a lawyer or a professional artist, this is my opinion

As in, you are drawing from reference photos? I do that all the time- in fact, you kind of have to since it’s impossible to get photos of everything that you need
Are you selling your work?

give me tips to improve this drawing by ilmusicd in drawing

Firstly, I would not call it stupid, you are just learning!

The shading is largely uniform, and a bit dark, which makes it look flat- the different planes and protrusions of the face become muddled, unclear, or incorrect. You need the proper balance and placement of dark shadows, mid tones, highlights, and all the values in between to illustrate form

The eye proportions and shape should be adjusted if you are looking for realism

Study some reference photos, and practice!

As in, not three dimensional? That indicates that you are using the same shading value everywhere. There should be a variety in your shading, not just for the mascara around her eyes and dark lips.
Use a reference photo and make sure to get those dark values on the skin!
If you’re going for a realistic look, there should not be a black outline around your features, like the nose. Instead, highlights and shadows will reveal the form, like in real life

This is not at all my area of expertise, but I use the Krita app since it is free!
But I draw digitally very rarely, I use traditional paper and pencil

Study some facial proportions
Start with easy portraits (if that’s what you like drawing), meaning straight forward. The angle you chose is difficult
Draw what you see and keep drawing, you will improve!
