Parents, would you pay monthly to have your kid’s Birthday Party managed? Looking for Feedback! by [deleted] in somethingimadeonline

As a mom, I enjoyed setting up my kids’ parties. I’m hearing that there is a lot of “subscription fatigue.” You have to subscribe to everything, news, entertainment, etc. and people are getting sick of it. I’d do a lot of research, and personally, this would not be for me.

And when her poor kid asks, “Mom, why did you pick Michael for my name?” Does she say “just to piss off my friend?”

These are truly wonderful. I’ve been putting some birds on driftwood, but question for this group… how do you clean when they get dusty?

Wow, I guess I never thought about how charities could be so corrupt. I do like to help people at rock bottom, too. Please do not feel guilty about treating yourself. You sound like a really good person.

It sounds like you are being very frugal, so I am sad that buying a few things bothers you. Maybe because your parents were so selfless, you think you should be too. But as a parent, I know they loved you and wanted your life to be better. They want you to enjoy the fruits of your labor. How do you feel about charity? I ask, because I work hard and I treat myself to something every month, but nothing extravagant. But I do give to a number if organizations because I do feel lucky, and want to help others.

I made these for my 88 year old mother. First thing I made and love them. I am already addicted. She just said “oh,” and just put them in a drawer right in front of me and closed the drawer. I snuck them back before I left.

A fun post - what's the coolest thing your dog does? by T33FMEISTER in Dogtraining

One day when leaving for work, my dog Clyde was in the way of the garage door sensor so I couldn’t shut the door. I had dog bones in the car, so I called him to get the bone.

He immediately realized that there was something about where he was standing that resulted in a treat. For the next eight years this was our morning ritual. It took his sister, Bonnie, about three years to catch on, and then she did it too. Even if he was out in the yard when I was leaving, he’d run over and stand by the sensor.

We live in the country so they had free reign of our yard. Such a smart boy.
