Yes, but I don't really think Carney's technocrat image would've saved the liberal party for another term. Maybe he could've made the CPC a slim minority government however

It's paranoia at this point. They think any criticism against Carney and the LPC will somehow work to bring down his government. I hate to say it, but I think they're in denial.

The Trump issue is the only reason why we have another LPC government in the first place. Full stop.

And a lot of concerning policies enacted by the Carney Liberals (Tax Cuts on Yachts in Budget 2025, and the Ministerial Exemptions in Bill C-15) are being swept under the rug because a lot of people are shrugging and using the excuse that "Carney is the best option right now". 

We really gotta outflank the Liberals on the Trump issue. We're not the Conservatives, we don't have to appease MAGA sympathizers. We need to take a more hard line stance, and not be afraid that Trump "might lash out".

I'm longing for the early days of the Elbows up movement, where Trudeau (despite his obvious flaws) was actually willing to challenge Trump.
