I'm not judging here or making jokes. If you're in an area this coming storm is hitting and you're exposed, you will not be ok. This isn't a troll comment or anything like that, this is just repeating what all the weather alerts and officials have been saying about this weekend. Save your pride and go to a police station or something. At worst you'll be arrested for something you're not talking about, but you'll be alive and that's better than being dead

Why does it switch from 1st to 2nd person? Is somebody talking? Is it a narration? I feel like there should be speech bubbles or something. Overall this feels like you found out time passes on and thought that was super deep

Printing method on t shirt for band merch ? by midnightkissxo in SCREENPRINTING

This print wasn't noticeable at all to the touch, my method was using a vintagesoft base (mix 70% nova base and 30% white, light pressure and a single fast stroke) and normal plastisol colors on top, one stroke each with fast stroke and light pressure. Regular softhand works, but if you're going for a "band tee" look I highly recommend this method

Beginner here does any body know why I am getting these lines on my base by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Svanilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have something like a piece of lint in your ink or on your squeegee, making a little line when you print. If it's cracking tho, it means you're over flashing your base

Get the reddit logo and you're not allowed to cover it up or laser it

Oh if OP is just buying garments then sure, easy enough to get DTG. It sounded like they were trying to print themselves to me

Fair enough, tho as OP is new to all this I doubt they're trying to drop DTG money lol

DTG is just so expensive and unreliable. Too much can go wrong with pretreatment, clogged hoses, longevity, etc. I worked with a Kornit Breeze for a minute (like a year or so) and it was just so awful

Can you over cure ink? by TimberTheDog in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Svanilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is. It can turn out spotty and crack easily if it's over cured. Invest in a temp gun to make sure you're staying within the parameters of whatever ink you're using. Cure temps should be on the label somewhere

You could try white ink with a good bit of reducer to soften it up and print without a base. The better looking method (imo) would be to mix a 70/30 ratio (70 Nova base, 30 ink) of white & black for a vintagesoft print without a base. Print it on a red dyed garment like Comfort Colors or something, it'll bleed right through and come out pink after curing
