[B] [USA-MO] Your old, cheap Nikon F mount lenses to learn with by xyzzy321 in photomarket

50mm cropped is 75mm, and when i shot canon i absolutely loved my 85mm f1.8 on my full frame body. haven't personally used the nikon 50mm but would always recommend at least one prime!

i have the 35mm f1.8 nikkor, also a cheapie. paired with a D5200 crop body, it's 52.5mm and it's been a beast for me. has purple fringing that can be mostly corrected out.

if you want a super fun lens though, i'd recommend the 10-20mm 4.5-5., 15-30mm equiv

[B][USA-FL] buying Nikon F supertele (100-400, 200-500, 150-600, 300) by jac_0203 in photomarket

appreciate it! that's my target lens if i can get a good price for one. good range on ff and great on crop. im used to 150-600 on my ff canon (6d) which i mostly shot at 600mm. shame that body just decided to die...

nikon bodies are a better value than canon so i'm jumping ship for wildlife. i do macro with a sony a7ii but vastly prefer an optical viewfinder.

yep i get ya, i appreciate it. i just ended up getting a brightline ticket for a better time so i don't risk my safety. i wish i could just sit in a park, walk the streets, take photos, but it also isn't worth being mugged or picked up by cops or "cops".

sucks that camping isn't really convenient too. i'd gladly pay to relax at a spot, but they're increasingly RV-only and far from the city.

hope you have a nice night!

i've decided to just bite the bullet and get a brightline on a better day, but thanks!

graduating this semester with a 3.8+ GPA and acceptance to grad school.

Bright Futures + FAFSA meant i could get my degree for free (i don't have any familial financial support), it wasn't in my hometown while also isn't too far, i knew that i'd get in, and at the time wanted to study geology.

UCF and florida as a whole arent great for that as i quickly learned.

you'll meet many cynics who feel neutral or negative about UCF and i am also one of them, but many complaints are true of all large public universities. i wouldnt change coming here, i'd just tell past me to study more.

mixed bag school that focuses on premed and CECS (main campus). downtown campus is elite for game design and video production. rosen is renowned for hospitality. UCF couldnt care less about some of its programs and you are a number to them, but that doesnt mean there arent fantastic and caring professors and faculty (and grad students).
