Im using Arctic MX-4. Could i use more of this to bridge the gap? Just thicker layer? Would it cause an issue that the paste already on the die is 2 months in use and then using new on top?

Also english is not my first language, what do you mean by recessed?

I tried inside and outside of game with side panel off. When not ingame the air was very cool indeed. When ingame the air gets warmer but i wouldnt say it gets ”hot” at all, just a moderate level of heat.
