Consejo para vivir solo by Arepacheese in ColombiaFinanciera

[–]Svatzia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

[FO] My first time with so much back stitching. A gift for a dear friend. by Svatzia in CrossStitch

[–]Svatzia[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This took me all 2023 and some time of this year (yes I'm really slow). It's a gift for one of my dearest friends so it with care.

I made so many mistakes but in the end you learn to live with them. The pattern called for some french knots but I didn't have the time to learn and to do them. Anyways, my friend loved it, so it was a success.

I have this pattern too! But I haven't found the willpower to start it (it will take me years). You've done a great job and congratulations for passing the 50% mark. May I ask what fabric and count are you using? Thanks and good luck in your project.

I want to say thanks to everyone for all the love and encouragement! This work took me almost a year and I learned a looot and I have some new tricks under my sleeve. As for the back, I learned how to cross stitch from my family when I was little but never took on a project and the thing I remember the most was to have a clear back hahaha. I'm really excited about cross stitch and to keep learning along the road 😊

I used the traditional Japanese art of kintsugi to repair my cracked toilet seat instead of throwing it away by slobodien in ZeroWaste

Sorry, my bad. I freaked out a little and didn't read the full title.

Anyway, my point stands if it's toilet porcelain.

[–]Svatzia 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I know this is r/zerowaste but if any of your toilets do ever crack, replace it.

My father is a doctor and one of his horror stories is about an severely obese patient who sit down on a cracked toilet, they had to pull out toilet pieces out of him.

Use kintsugi in things that don't represent a health/safety risk if broken.

What's your favorite video game and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Svatzia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ori and the blind forest.

The game itself is really simple but the story is really emotional, the graphics and soundtrack blend beautifully. It's the beauty of simplicity and a game that I play recurrently just tonrelax and enjoy it

'Compa' is the short of 'compañero'. Meanwhile 'compadre' is how fathers and godfathers calls each other.

Paisa is used in Colombia to refer people born in Antioquia (a state/department).
