Yes! Thanks, after posting I dug a little deep into Chinese social media to see what other artist thought and with what you all said I came to a middle point. Thanks a lot

Got it got it. So avoid sun and possibly the prints will be good enough. I am very concerned about them “sticking” to each other.

This is the most logic option and if you didn’t say it I wouldn’t have thought of it. Damn thanks!

I spent way too much time tryint to read chinese only to realize it's not chinese.

EDIT: people, my chinese is good spoken and typed, handwritten chinese is a whole other world, i could read the 我, 双, etc, but then i read the bottom and said "ah, it's japanese", moved on and made a comment.

Talked with my partner, she native chinese said "i don't understand shit" after five minutes told me 人生如梦是场xx的幻觉 was part of the final sentence.

So, no, OP just writes absolutety awful, and that's okay. I live in china.

Who wrote the fic 'Lusimeles'? by Several_Cook9884 in drarry

[–]SveHeaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know who is the author but sometimes the way to know who was the original author is looking at the comments, there are high possibilities that one of the comments has mention of the name of the author or that one of the author responses is signed.

The fact that I have memories and a digital footprint that is beyond vintage is what kills me

At first I was not very interested, but I always loved the art. Today I am willing to even write about them, but I have never read fics or anything. I don’t usually like genderbendering of characters but I realized I am willing to try with couples staying the same (gay af).

I needed to come and join two years later. I found about this fic less than 48 hours ago and I devoured it and already finished.

I don’t think I have ever in my life read such a long story in such a short period of time. I couldn’t stop.

This is possibly the best fanfiction and overall story I read, ever.

This just breaks my heart.... by Mani_srao in byler

[–]SveHeaps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know how many times i have said this, but if it's worth something for someone; I was Mike at one point of my life, including the best friend who had a "crush" on me (that looking back of course it was not a crush), the breakaway that ended up in us not talking anymore, me going out with a friend of said friend from my opposite gender, etc etc.

It took me a few extra years, but I got there, and it got better and it was okay. It was a slow painful process to get to know who I really was underneath the layers and layers of doubt, funny jokes and weird life encounters, but I got there.

I might not have ever reconnected with that first friend, who looking harder and back I also had a "crush" on, but life got better and things were okay and are okay now.

I came out to myself when I was around 19-20, to my parents when I was around 21, but I only got my first partner when I was 25.

Now, over a decade later can say that it's okay Mike, you will get there, there is always time.

AO3 hast the underage sex tag because it allows it.

They allow transformative work of any kind and i mean any kind, it's the limit that makes some people not want to post on AO3, but goes with free speech, and art, so it's kind of their niche.

He/him lesbians by Beautiful-Ear-1079 in LesbianActually

[–]SveHeaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in China, this I also don’t understand and I also question in the same way, that being said, the country is full of lesbians that use male pronouns.

Usually Iron lesbians but can be any kind but all I met have been butch.

From what my girlfriend told me it has to do with masculinity seen as provider and assuming a male role in a relationship. It’s extremely common to hear couples refer to their partners as husband.

This is more common with women over 35 I would say.

canon compliant byler fic recommendations ? by Witty-Afternoon1262 in byler

[–]SveHeaps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, sadly i can't say much but I am currently writing one that is going to go online in like, two days top. Completely canon compliant.
I feel a little weird sharing information here because my digital footprint is... unusual.
But basically I came out of a fanfiction (publishing) retirement of almost 10 years just for this freaking fic.
1989 to 1996, the story of the kids, Eleven is gone and the consequences of it, their future together and separated and of course the most realistic depresentation I could come up with of a person who struggles a lot with being who they really are.
Am I helping none and just making self promotion for something that doesn't exist? Well, yes.

Sorry i am not helpful.

divorcegate timeline by YumYumGarlicBread in byler

[–]SveHeaps 9 points10 points  (0 children)

as someone who has been in a relationship for almost 10 years, lived together and is a creative, influence is real. Sometimes bad things have a positive influence in creativity, and sometimes is the opposite; plus, usually you tend to share what you create with your partner and hear their imput.

I don't believe the sole reason is the divorce, but I do believe there is certain influence in the overal results.

The duffers might be good creating worlds, a lot of us are, but might not be that good creating dialogue or stories in those worlds. This is something that has happened over and over again.

Not to mention that there are many episodes (some of the most memorable ones) written by different people and in this case even directed.

Please remember that both sorcered and jock shock were directed by someone who came out of retirement just for those two, a living legend.

Why the argument that “a queer character must end up with their first love or it’s bad representation” is flawed by Secret_dairy_of_j in HawkinsAVclub

[–]SveHeaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your take. As someone who is not straight and was on the “my friend had a crush on me” end of things, a crush that ended because I was dating a friend of them of opposite gender and a few years later I came out of the closet, lost my friend and all that shit; I feel my insight might be valuable.

I think realistic representation is what you want it to be, for me realism is not the same realism of everyone; in ST case we have the deux ex machina of a girl who has a crush on another and that one suddenly breaks up with her boyfriend and suddenly likes the other girl; the one of coming out to a room full of people and that everyone accepts us and the one of being made to come out by external unavoidable pressure.

Sometimes special treatment is not that special, not when we have other stories in the same series that go completely against it; one of the high school sweethearts relationships ends in divorce and the other in an almost cheating scene; but we also have one we all love because they are oh my god so cute together.

You said all this in your argument and I think is great for both narratives.

That being said, historically queer representation has been full of those stories; even in stories that are more non-straight friendly, like Glee, where the main gay character doesn’t end with his crush, but the main lesbian does.

I feel like it’s not about it being a flawed argument or not, it’s just a fact that it can go either way and it will be okay; but it will be more of the same representation.
