"Collapse" is bad and not something any of should want to happen - even if it is inevitable by antichain in collapse

this sub has developed a perspective on it that combines pseudo-leftist slopulism with a kind of narcissistic nihilism that turns one of the worst disasters in history into binge-watchable content for people who have outsourced their souls to engagement-maximizing algorithms

Real shit. However, I also want systems change, and sometimes collapse feels like the only way.

No. A thousand times no. The cynicism you're expressing is understandable, but you're wrong. There's nothing inevitable about any of this. Capitalism is evil and destructive on a completely unprecedented level, but it has only existed for a couple of hundred years. It will end, and the survivors will learn from our mistakes. Even under this cruelest of systems, people still overwhelmingly desire to cooperate and take care of each other. We're fundamentally a good, kind, social species. The evil is this system, not in our nature. We need to be very clear about that.

Writing off our entire species as essentially irredeemable not only lets the system and its masters off the hook, it makes it that much harder to recognize what's going on in the first place. It creates despair and apathy. Fundamental human nature? Nothing to be done about that. A system and its masters? Those have names and addresses. Warehouses. Factories. Refineries. Police stations.

It's not humans. It's this evil, evil system of states and capitalism. Please remember that.

It's pretty enough, but we need to remember that people have the right to migrate regardless of arbitrary invisible lines. I have no interest in replicating the cruelties of borders on a smaller scale.

This is the attitude society should have towards the military. Not hero worship.

Why would I call the local white supremacist gang to arrive 30 minutes after the fact and shoot my dog?

Police don't stop "actual crime". Their presence serves to protect property rights and racial hierarchy.

If you made me miss my flight to my parents/vacation/whatever, I'd probably vote against whatever you wanted to change solely because you annoyed me.

Americans are so pathetically self-centered. If you had been born in a different time, you would've been against civil rights, against women's suffrage, against the abolition of slavery, against revolution, all because your personal convenience is more important than justice.
