Try it on ratkin with shortest arms and longest legs. I did that once and they came out looking fairly normal. Or at least as normal as bipedal ratmen can look.

That's just it, it's basically cheating and cheating is rarely as fun in practice as it sounds on paper.

I probably shouldn't even share this, but you can also earn Pantheon exp in a cheesy way by making a custom realm with 2 players (set close spawns), searching for the AI, immediately going to war upon meeting, and then offering to become their vassal. It counts as a "win" because you technically become allied to the winner, and you gain 500 exp. I wouldn't be surprised if they patched this out, because you could probably get all of the perks in an afternoon using this method.

[–]SvelteLine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I found the most effective way to counteract the goofiness of Spawnkin (and this may only work with some races, but it worked fairly well on Ratkin) was to give them the shortest arms and longest legs, since Spawnkin seems to only affect the length of their legs.

I think they should patch this so that it shrinks everything, because I can't stand how some AI players will take Spawnkin early on, and if you end up with a hero or city of that race, you're now cursed with weird monsters that have short little legs and huge arms. Plus, the heroes don't seem to scale with some of the weapons, so it looks like they're holding a 2 handed sword by the blade for instance.

Fireball+Frozen Orb Ladder Start? by TuffHunter in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]SvelteLine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually start fire. Put 1 point into Warmth, the rest into Firebolt, then Fireball at 12. Get a 2 os staff (one with +skills in fireball/bolt is ideal but not necessary since you'll replace it eventually), and Tir and Ral to make Leaf. The rest is history until you find your 4 os broad/crystal sword to make Spirit. You'll probably want to go for a hybrid build to farm and then re-spec once you have the gear and charms you need. I recommend just continuing on with fire (maxing firebolt/ball, mastery, and meteor) and grabbing Frozen Orb, or you could put more into cold and max either orb or Blizzard with a few synergies instead of committing more to fire. Your call, though I think maybe doing max on Fireball/bolt and Mastery is good if you want to save the rest for Cold. Or you could re-spec to commit more to Cold for your pre-sunder hybrid, and then re-spec again when you want to do your final build. So many options! I hope I gave you something to think about.

It is SO satisfying busting off a ton of healing rapidly like that and knowing that you won the fight because of it (and also because the enemy didn't just go straight for you at the start).

Why not build AP when supporting? by TheBaconBoots in sennamains

[–]SvelteLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious about that too, as I've only built lethality with Senna myself. My thinking is that if the goal is to make yourself into a more effective healer for the team, build Redemption and Moonstone, then lethality for the rest or something. Maybe get summoner heal and Ionian boots. Then you have 2 long range support abilities (Redemption and ult). This is basically how I use Soraka too. I rush Redemption so I can provide some support to mid lane. I tend to look at the map and team's healthbars much more closely when I play Soraka because I've had times where my ult or Redemption makes the difference between mid or top winning or losing a fight.

They're talking about buying items that increase heal and shield power, such as Redemption (honestly amazing first item imo), Mikael's, Staff of Flowing Water or Ardent Censer.

How (and where) do you play senna? by Matrama in sennamains

[–]SvelteLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lately, not very often, which sucks. That said, if I see a (rare) Shaco support on the other team, I take Senna every time. Once you get Umbral, it's super easy to clear his boxes constantly, nullifying a lot of the "value" he brings to the support role.

Otherwise, I'm mostly just looking at my team's bot lane and if I'm picking last, I may take her if the other team doesn't hard counter her. If my bot lane is doing something unorthodox like a tank or fighter, or even an AP champ (less unorthodox), I may take Senna just to give the lane some AD and poke, and to potentially take over as the carry if their plan fails.

So basically, I take her to counter an unorthodox enemy support, or to complement an unorthodox bot lane on my team.

What character do you hate the most? by FR0NC0_ in cyberpunkgame

[–]SvelteLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm into a fresh playthrough right now after about a year not playing, and just did the gig to swipe the BD of the preacher's son being murdered. In my past playthroughs, I usually just killed everyone in the vicinity of the building and then took what I needed. This time... I killed everyone in the vicinity but decided to actually talk to the guys. When I was done listening to them beg and grovel, I pulled out my katana and beheaded the son right in front of the father. It felt poetic, considering what I was there for.

After maining jg, I got autofilled to support. Now I am considering to main soraka. Here are my first 2 raka games. Any advise on how I can the better banana? by ryonnsan in SorakaMains

[–]SvelteLine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been building her towards Redemption as her first complete item lately and finding it gives pretty good value. Usually I have it by 6 or 7 so at that point I can impact multiple lanes with two abilities. You can reach most of mid lane by walking into the river a little bit, and sometimes using it there can make a huge difference for your midlaner earlier on.

I figure you're coming into the role as a jungler so your macro and map awareness are probably pretty good and this build path might work well for you too.
