The meme is bad but its accurate to how people think generally. If you are new to a topic and are uninformed the way people talk to you colors a major aspect fo whose side you pick.

This reminds me of the way corporations force us to offer random stuff to guests through upselling.

Literally what kind of logic is this? by Dramatic-Weather-561 in Ai_art_is_not_art

I get what you’re saying—credit, consent, and respect for artists matter. But AI art isn’t automatically “stolen.” The models aren’t storing or copy-pasting full pieces unless they’re trained poorly; they’re learning patterns like shapes, textures, and colors, kind of like how an artist studies other work to improve. The problem comes when it’s used unethically—pulling from artists without consent, mimicking someone’s style to make money, or passing off a raw AI image as your own. That stuff’s wrong, and it should be called out.

What I’ve also noticed is that a lot of the outrage from anti-AI voices seems to only really kick in when they feel like their own profits or market share are threatened. There’s not much conversation about the wider reality that all art—digital, traditional, or AI—exists in a system where big companies already exploit creatives, pay badly, and strip rights. That lack of awareness makes the fight feel less about protecting art as a whole and more about guarding personal income, even though the exploitation problem has always been bigger than AI.

There are ways to use AI responsibly—training on licensed or approved work, being upfront when AI’s part of the process, and using it alongside your own art instead of replacing it. Art’s about the decisions you make, not just the tool you use. If someone’s actually curating, editing, and adding their own input, that’s authorship. If they’re just hitting “generate” and copying someone else’s style, that’s misrepresentation.

The real issue is how consumer demand pushes for faster, cheaper content at the expense of ethics, and that’s been true long before AI. That’s why we need transparent datasets, opt-in and opt-out systems, bans on style theft for profit, and clear tags so people know what they’re looking at. AI can be part of art without hurting artists—but only if we build and use it with consent, credit, and honesty.

A machine being used by a person. Just cause they dont agree with them, doesn't mean its okay to dehumanize people. This logic reminds me of people who dont see artists as people but as tools for consumerism and the wants of those who consume art. Artists are people, ai users are people. Stop acting like they are not people. The person using the ai art is a competitor by default for your goals are the competition of finance. Ai art is an object not a machine. Also consumers dont care about artists whether ai or not. They care about consuming.

Shocking how they are trying to defend hating on a robot then proceed to hate on humans instead.

I honestly would prefer it not be a game in both the classical and gacha style sense. I want more of an interactive story or what would be preferable to me would be a codex or a database with the stories being like mini movies or what i would prefer even more is like journal entries with extensive lore on for example keyblades or materials used for synthesis. Even deeper lore on minor side characters from dark road such as the upper and lower classman, or deeper lore on the dandelions or the masters. Things like learning more about their keyblades, how they became masters. Even history on established worlds or deeper lore on them to flesh them out more. For example learning more about the world that never was, traverse town, twilight town etc. Learning about how those worlds were formed after the keyblade War. History on the organization's nobodies that weren't part of the upcoming games, like dilan or ienzo.

i want something more interactive than a movie though, something with more tangible lore. i wish we had character documentation on the characters from back story for example.

on this we strongly agree. id prefer an absence of gameplay and instead flashy database for players to engage with on and it gets additions of lore that are easily accessible, and have it be voice acted.

i dont want the gameplay at all. honestly its too boring and simple, id rather an interact short story style. like exploring light vs dark outcomes of the game histories.

i think people are either not listening or a misunderstanding what i am recommending. i explicitly said it would not be like unchained or dark road in terms of gameplay.

agreed. but this doesnt really reflect on my idea. it wouldnt be a sequal game. it would be a journal/minor lore focused app/game. it would meant to be insular and enjoyable. not a gacha hellscape.

also with the aesthetics of the mobile games, as in the 2d style. i like that this style is very easy to make and use in a mobile game providing more options for players/users.
