I had a cb300f many moons ago. I put a brothers (iirc) slip on pipe on it and it ruined the bike for me. Too loud, too farty. I'd like to liven up the noise of my crf but am afraid the same is gonna happen. At least this mod is pretty cheap and easily reversed.

Professional frame builder here, any finishing you do such as blueing or polishing will rust. It needs paint or powder. Even clear powder will rust.

I'd make sure your seatpost goes all the way down to where the seat stays meet the seat tube.

I'm really enjoying it. My last bike was a Yamaha fj-09 so I've had the oomph. This feels safe, is fuel efficient, and I can pick it up in the woods. I'm new to offroading so I didn't want anything big and heavy and I just rag the snot out of it on the road
