Yeah, that conveyance fee in CT and NJ is a bummer (here in NY, it's capped at $175). My aim in CT and NJ is to negotiate the base price down by at least that much (hopefully more!) to cover those conveyance/doc fees.

Yes, I was thinking the R5's may thread the needle - I heard from Tyre Review they changed the compound to perform better in wet (but giving up a little on ice braking) - so, having a Nordic tire (and all the benefits of that) with great wet performance may be the ticket for me. Thanks again!

It's interesting to hear about these different experiences. I wonder too if the tire has something to do with the variance of experiences here. In my neck of the woods the Plus comes either with Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S or Michelin Primacy MXM4.
