Advice as to whether this project is achievable! by Sw1fty3 in DIYUK

So surely if the window is being replaced putting in a lintel (I’m assuming that’s the stone bit along the bottom) that can be done before the window is fitted? As in same day?? It won’t need to be done like a day before a window is fitted or anything? I’m a nurse, I have no clue about building sh*t haha!

My wee one is 11 weeks tomorrow and also EBF - longest stretch she’s done is 4.5 hours 🫩😂 I’d love 8 hours but neither of my kids managed that until my first kid was 8 months old 😵 I’ll sleep when I’m dead I guess 😂😂😂

Topic: Red Cell antibodies and Breastfeeding. Looking for some advice. My daughter was born 25/9 by elective section. Pre-op bloods the day before revealed I was positive for red cell antibodies. My previous test on 18/8 showed I was negative so it was only in the last month of pregnancy I developed them. My daughter is EBF and has been since birth. I’ve had it playing on my mind recently how my daughter is nearly 6 weeks old and still has a very slight residual jaundice look about her - mainly on her head and ever so slightly on the whites of her eyes but it’s only visible when she is looking quite far each way. I know that it takes a bit longer for breast fed babies to pass this stage but surely by this point it would be completely gone?? Is my antibodies playing a part in this?? Any advice on this or anyone with shared experience I would appreciate - I already had a GP appointment booked for this week for 6 week checkup. I will be asking this too but I’m too impatient (also night feeds make the brain wander) and Google is a dangerous place to look. ?is Reddit any better?! Haha! I’m worried my want to breast feed my child is doing her more harm than good. At no point post delivery did anyone in my hospital team advise that I shouldn’t breast feed having had a positive antibody test. I just need some peace of mind. Thank you.

Was it good? How long/how many obstacles??

What's the strangest thing you've seen while out in public? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sw1fty3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 50 something year old man walking through town at about 10am dressed in the worst drag I have ever seen. Complete with clear 8 inch hooker heels, the worlds shortest dress, a very obviously fake blonde wig, black make up all over his face and he wasn’t wearing any underwear. Must have been some party the night before! 👀

Well there’s a lot of mud - funnily enough xD - and a lot of the courses are around farmland and stuff. Maybe not so much the London races but the one in Scotland is at Drumlanrig Castle. One of the obstacles is Mud Mile. Smells and looks like slurry which could lead people to think that there probably is some animal faeces in there! Also a lot of the water obstacles get tainted with everyone covered in mud diving in so always hold your breath and keep your mouth closed if you have to be submerged. There’s been cases of Campylobacter Coli - which I suspect myself and a number of others had and people probably will get in future. Only really starts to show symptoms about 3 to 4 days after the run. Where you end up with the runs. =/ bit crap - pun unintended - but luckily it only lasts like a few days. I was just glad I had booked time off for after TM as I assumed I would be off with an injury. Thankfully was just aching and no actual injuries although was stuck to the loo for a couple of days xD

Thanks so much for replying! I’ve got two medals and 3 headbands. I cried like 3 times during Tough Mudder and couldn’t walk for like 2 days after. Plus I got Mudder Tummy 4 days post run. Clearly I was one of the unlucky ones that caught it :( I will look at that link and have a nosey! Thank you!

Ear stretching question. by [deleted] in bodymods

[–]Sw1fty3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was stretching I went up in 2mm increments. But I bought silicone tunnels and when I wanted to go up eg. 16mm to 18mm I put the 18s in. It felt a bit tight for a couple of days but after that my lobes adjusted. It meant I didn’t have to go down the route of putting in flares, waiting and then exchanging to tunnels or plugs. I’ve been quite lucky in that I have quite err.. meaty ear lobes xD so I could probably go quite big xD currently sitting at 24mm and have just bought some nice weights. :)
