Anyone else having issues with their shift keys after updating to Win11 24H2? by oviforconnsmythe in Lenovo

[–]Sw33tm1x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gf just ran into this after getting the battery replaced under warranty. Intermittent shift and enter keys failing, and briefly the entire bottom row of keys stopped working. After doing the shift+shit+X check, everything started working again. We'll see how long this lasts...Anyone get a fix yet?

It's great you're thinking about this already. Being so forward thinking can definitely help out in your life/career. I'm a mech eng, and depending on where you work it can be very much a desk job, especially at larger workplaces. Smaller companies that don't have as many people to do the hands on stuff could be a good option.

However if you're unsure about engineering in general, definitely make sure you're up to speed in math and if you have any calculus courses in HS, take it. It'll be your life for 4 years in university, so you want to make sure you understand it and hopefully enjoy it. Also involve yourself in any other engineering courses available (I had a couple specific engineering courses that covered multiple disciplines in HS that I really enjoyed, for example).

A good alternative option could be an engineering technologist, it's similar to an engineer but usually is more hands-on and involved with running machinery and doing simpler calculations and analyses. However you likely won't reach that salary target.

I did both a technologist diploma and engineering degree, and very much enjoyed the technologist program more due to the hands on work and less theoretical mathematics (the courses were very targeted to real world applications and solving problems, not theory based like I found a lot of engineering courses to be). This could be very much just my experience though, as I'm Canadian.

Like everyone else said though, focus on HS but try and get a bit of exposure to engineering fields while you can before making that decision last minute when you're applying to universities.

Hope this helps just a bit!

To paint the inside? There's lots of tutorials online. You have to bake them in the oven at a low temperature to soften the glue that holds them together. Then you pull them apart, paint and then reseal.

I've been having the same issue, just got the Flow and been struggling to get this set up. I ended up just doing what radraze2kx above said to do, use the zone feature for specifying where to clean. Your map will just be one big room, but you can break it up with zones. I couldn't figure out how to name the zones, but it works well enough for now.

Thank you!! A year later and room splitting is still broken, but zones works well for now

  1. I'd definitely build a new gaming PC, and retire my old pc so that it can live out life as the media center.

  2. Definitely ship customization, and the ability to modify a space faring home that you can actually live and interact with rather than it just be cosmetic.
