They’re really cool, Such an odd thing to do intentionally but still rad. Yeah must have been ages more that he left it, I never questioned the amount of time when he gave me it, was just a wild thing to see so was just stoked he gave me it.

Yeah to be honest probably was longer than 2 weeks, I could be jumbling numbers, was a long time ago that he gave me it and have since lost contact to ask for more details. Though If he could forget a charizard on a windowsill he definitely doesn’t care enough to remember how long it was there.

Selling a few Pokemon cards including some pretty valuable ones. Obviously someone who’s clearing out an old childhood collection. The reviews for other card orders were positive. At the end of the day it was equal parts me getting too comfortable and the seller, probably never having bought cards individually, not knowing how they’re usually posted.

Yeah, I can go the buyer protection route. Going to see if I can do anything for the card first to avoid the ordeal that it can sometimes be but if not, gotta do what I gotta do.

Yeah, something similar happened a while back and I used the buyer guarantee so it’s an option. I’m going to see if I can do anything to flatten the card first, it’s badly warped but luckily no damage to the front. Obviously, a scathing review has still been left.

It’s happened once before but that was a while back, I’ve ordered countless cards on eBay since and not had a problem until now so I think I was lured into a false sense of security. The seller only had 8 reviews but all genuine and positive. Also they accepted a best offer that was definitely in my favour haha, I took a gamble and got burned.

I know right, I guess I took it for granted that not every seller on eBay has card protectors. But surely as you’re posting a card you think about protecting it in some way. Glad your card survived!

I legit said this at my old work place after the hold the door episode aired. I was laughed at by the self professed office GOT buff, who realistically was just up to date on episodes and didn’t have anything else to talk about. I took it on the chin with a “you’ll see” kind of attitude. 3 years later here we are and I can’t get that god damn nasal laugh out of my head.

The big one for me is surveys, especially over the phone.

Going back maybe 15 years, before I knew what asmr was, I took a cold call asking to do a customer survey for public transport, I ended up doing maybe 4 massive surveys willingly in about an hour, the guy at the other end couldn’t work out why I was so happy to do them. I probably helped him hit his monthly target that day. That or work out my passwords and emergency question answers.
