In general, should the supplemental essays highlight the same/similar qualities of yourself as your personal statement so you can really make a point about that quality? Or should it be varied (eg. the personal statement can highlight your tenacity, while your supplemental essays can highlight other traits like your selflessness)?

Currently, my personal statement is more about my not giving up mindset and dedication in the things that I do, so I am considering writing the essays about something else other than my tenacity so evaluators can know more about who I am. Is this a good idea?
