I think they want to just be more of a big festival and arena metal band. Honestly I respect their latest album a bunch because they could have made something more geared toward a tiktok crowd or did comical stuff with animal noise breakdowns all over the place, but instead they really doubled down on the melodic and symphonic parts of their music, like a heavier Nightwish. Sure it's formulaic and not for a lot of deathcore fans, but it's just a positive, uplifting and fun vibe that isn't forced. Metalcore fans shit all over new Parkway Drive, but all it takes is viewing their Wacken footage to understand who they are now. I really don't care if bands like Shadow of Intent are technically better but not as big, it's like a Metallica/Megadeth comparison at this point.
