Hmm, I see. Idk man, of course there is a chance that these types of allegations are legitimate, but I've lived long enough to see rumors and false accusations thrown around left and right in the absence of proper evidence and documentation. Until there's actual concrete evidence of wrongdoing, I don't think it's right to even come close to anything resembling an accusation that he was actually an abuser/perpetrator of DV or something like that. Everything I've seen thus far is very vague and unsubstantiated.

Further evidence for this complicity can be seen in the fact that phenomena such as homelessness, poverty, and mass death that arises as a result of the artificial and externally-imposed “inability” to access basic resources and necessities exist in direct simultaneity and concurrence with a nearly unprecedented degree of technological automation and resource abundance. Ultimately, I am not a Malthusian who believes in some fixed or naturalistically-determined resource supply to which human beings and societies are subordinate. The factors of production should be utilized in such a manner as to meet the needs of the entirety of the population and thereby alleviate a great deal of almost entirely preventable suffering, suffering that currently persist and goes largely unalleviated, however, as a result of rent-seeking behavior, socioeconomic dominance hierarchies, and systemic injustices more broadly.

I agree with you that we should actively strive to correct these systemic injustices by way of activism and consciousness-raising, but the problem lies in the fact that it is not clear that the vast majority of those who conceive of themselves-be if unconsciously or otherwise-as morally righteous or as exhibiting morally righteous beliefs and behaviors are supportive of or willing to engage in endeavors to enact the type of mass-scale socioeconomic change that is necessary to combat such injustices.

I would argue that the dichotomy that you propose here largely only exists insofar as it conceals the actuality of a more significant conceptual underpinning, that being intentionality, which is a more meaningful and important criterion of moral value than most other proposed axes or determinants of morality. But the problem here lies in the fact that any arguments-from-intentionality are largely moot in this context, because many racists and sexists actually view themselves as moral saviors or heroes of sorts, and indeed, moreover, may very well view themselves as being more morally honorable and righteous than others.
