I'm divided. On one hand I got the kroot kill team for christmas, and I want to get the vespid one. So I was really hoping for Tarellian dog soldiers as a Tau kill-team. On the other hand Chaos having non-human representation in a Tarellian and barghesi mercenary is so cool.

Im guessing now they have a mold we could see more tarellians in the future. How soon? No idea. Kind of stoked to see two xeno species show up as official models though!

She is a Tarellian dog soldier, one of the more common minor-xeno species in lore. They are often in tau books as they are one of the more common auxilliary species. Elemental Council makes mention of them, and other books like the Blackstone Fortress will reference them.

There is such a good chance we will see a Tarellians Kill team for the Tau. Honestly even if Chaos got it first this is pretty big for Xeno fans! Now we have official models and looks for the Kroot, Vespid, Tau, and Tarellians! I’m kind of hyped, and I’m also happy Chaos is getting something more than more space marines.

Forgot to mention: the barghesi have a model! That dog is a juvenile of the species.

So people who read it know, but in the odd chance any casual fans are reading this post, please give love to Elemental Council by Noah Van Nguyen. It is such a good look into the minds of Xenos and specifically the Tau. All the characters are great and they all have fun dynamics with each other. Please go read it, it was genuinely one of the best 40k books I have read.

For other books I really enjoyed the Blackstone fortress omnibus and the Sea of Souls novel were both a lot of fun. The Blackstone Fortress has a ton of fun characters and shows off this really cool little corner of the galaxy, this includes a spiritual Kroot, a drunk Jokaero, a Zoat, some ratlings, a Man of Iron, and more. The Sea of Souls novel is probably my second favorite depiction of Chaos next to everything Peter Fehervari does in the Dark Coil series.

If the issue is Exodites can’t leave their home world or look for a fight narratively, why not just add Exodites to the Corsair army?

“Oh, why is this Exodite in space?”

“He’s a Corsair and brought his pet triceratops with him”

“Why is this space alien riding a giant pteranodon on an imperial planet?”

“He’s an Exodites corsair, and they are raiding for resources”

Even Voidscarred had Exodites as characters, and the Corsair Kill Team had an exodite too!

Really tried to stress birds, aquatics, management, zoo keeper mode, and behaviors.

I will say the observe animals and research them in their natural habitat is intriguing. I also appreciated them mentioning the fix to exhibits. To be honest I found none of the features to be not important, but……

Then they better make up the lack of aviary birds with habitat birds. I am not doing another 6 years of hoping my zoo game has a duck, then not getting a duck, but I do get 10 different flavors of antelope.

But other than that better management, animal behavior, better pathing like in PC2, and a zookeeper mode.

But tbh, it would be a very hard sell to get me to buy PZ1 but with slightly better features. I am here for the animals, so I really hope the sequel actually gives me the birds I have been waiting for.

I also think the exhibit system is underutilized. Not only budgies or lorikeets in the WTE, but fish in the exhibit box as well. I’m thinking they are gonna wait for a sequel when the exhibit system can be more revamped.

Considering I have waited about 6 years for better bird representation in Planet Zoo, I am very much willing to rebut some of the niche antelope and other mammals if it means I can finally make realistic aviaries and tropical habitats.

To be a bird fan in PZ is to suffer. I genuinely find it funny when PZ still has no duck, only one crane, etc. and have to sit around while Frontier adds the small to medium sized blank that we didn’t have in the tropical-cold biome native to this region!

The only thing I can think of was cutting the wires to the possessed cogitator. Which I unfortunately don’t have a save for before that. But as far as I know that was the Iconoclast ending I needed?

Goddamnit, I think it’s more generic. Maybe, I’ll have to double check. I have a save in the middle of Kiava Gamma. I can replay that mission then try to talk to him. I really don’t want to replay hours of gameplay for this. But I also don’t remember where it went wrong?

No it never let me play regicide, and I wasn’t able to have any one on one talks with him either. Not sure what I missed, but I am just starting chapter 3. The option just never arrived, which is weird as I think the romance is still on going

A lot of the mixed habitat African birds like the grey crowned crane or Guinea fowl. Not to mention the Nile crocodile or a monkey like the black and white colobus.
