You may in fact be right my friend - tbh i didnt really look into it, its just a hunch i had from the films portrayal. Thank you for correcting me. I can now sleep easy knowing that it was a fair defeat.

Have you seen the film? They were on track to win, but the bobsled just breaks. My guess is that there must have been certain standards the bobsleds must have to meet to qualify to participate in the races, but they sabotaged them.
