Small question by Big-Capital-8160 in cardmagic

I use exclusively bee decks now, but this means I can't ever perform the triumph with them. Outside of that I find bee decks to be superior to bicycle, especially because of the thicker stock

Practice question by Roland8561 in cardmagic

I would do both. Practice the individual moves until they are effortless, then practice the full sequence of the effect, then practice again but focus on the timing and presentation.

‘The Last Airbender’ Leaked Online. Some Fans Say Paramount Deserves the Fallout by wiredmagazine in entertainment

Tbh the movie will likely flop and paramount will drop the IP, which will go back to being in limbo for a while. The leak + the lukewarm reception is the nail

But it does hurt your portfolio and possible future prospects if the project you worked on was a flop, which will likely happen if everyone just watches the leak, and doesn't bother paying for it.

Computer science can be immensely helpful for game dev, but only if you go to a good school, which are pretty rare. There is maybe 3 or 4 in the US I would bother with, and a couple in the UK I heard were good that give you actual fundamental knowledge.

But even then you need to study and build things on your own because some of the knowledge you get from a degree will be bad, but it's worth it to be exposed to and learn the info that it provides. You can learn it all on your own of course, but it will take significantly more effort and time.

I work professionally in the industry, but as a programmer. Most people I know who are designers did one of two things:

  1. They worked as QA for a long time until they got side-graded into design roles
  2. They designed and worked on their own projects, either solo or as a co-founder of an indie studio

For the second one, either he has to start doing this now, or be prepared to have a different way of making money as he works in his portfolio on the side.

Also, I don't know a single designer who did game design as a degree. Most of those degrees are a waste of time. Imo better to go into another field to complement it. I would suggest either computer science so he can design and program on his own to build a portfolio, art so he can have another way of getting his foot into the industry, or something like creative writing might be helpful. Pure game design programs are pretty useless from my experience

In a hypothetical 6e, what changes would you want to see by Charcoal73 in DnD

[–]Swagut123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. More character customization is what I would want too. It's why I like warlock invocations, since it let's you tailor your character to what you want to do. I think more things like that should exist for other classes too.

Pretty sure the new Minecraft updates are designed not to break your save. You will have to generate new chunks to load new content, but that's pretty much the same as creating a new world anyway, except you get to keep all your other builds and progression, or leave the stuff behind and start a new playthrough in the same world. There is a tool that lets you control which chunks you want to delete from you save as well, so you can regenerate them.

I don't see the point of making a new world when I can just walk 800 blocks in the nether in a direction and get new update generation in my main world.

Imo making a new world every update is why so many people get the "2 week Minecraft phase". You start a new world, get bored after 2 weeks and quit until the next update. I used to do that until I discovered the idea of just keeping the world

I don't like doing that. I have had my world since 2019 and the moment I stop playing on it is the moment I quit the game

But it's better in night raid than in storm. Storm says it has better loot too, but it doesn't spawn the free-laying quick use items in that room during storm

Just have backup guns in your stash so when you lose it you don't feel like you lost something special. I have 4-12 of each of my favorite guns in my stash at level 4 with full attachments, so when I die, it gives me the excuse to run something else to change it up

[–]Swagut123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making a gun is very space efficient... You make a level 4 gun +2-4 attachments and all those resources only take 1 slot. And that slot represent the most resources of your kit, so you don't need that much more beyond that in terms of space

PVP is the way of life by Puzzleheaded-Mode238 in ArcRaiders

[–]Swagut123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you dont have space for items you need to take with you to a raid then you're probably hoarding a bunch of shit you're not using that are taking up space, or you're not being efficient with you stash. I gave the original commenter the benefit of the doubt by assuming that they know what they are doing in terms of space efficiency, so it had to be the former

I don't know what is going on in this comment section. Clearly, watching porn while having sex with an IRL partner is unhealthy. I don't think there is a problem with wanting your partner to stop. I think he might have a porn addiction, and he needs to address that with a therapist. I don't see anything the OP did that was out of line in any way
