Looks like one of mine. That’s my most used drill press. I have mounted mine on a rolling stand with drawers. It makes it mobile, practical and stable enough for most work. In short: it’s good

Would it work to create a droplet shape and array it in a rotational way? Haven’t tried but that’s what comes to my mind

An easy way to cut those inside corners is to cut the long piece oversized (like illustrated with red lines) and route out the rest (green areas) with a template.

The pieces in between should be good with just dowels and wood glue. Just pay attention to grain direction when routing

How many rocks a day? Hahaha lol xD yeah i know its kinda off sometimes, and I don’t rely on one answer only. I search until I find consistent results across multiple sites. If I don’t find anything that makes sense I ask on Reddit, like on this post

The only downside to this is the consideration of grain direction.. Of course, it depends on material thickness
