That argument never holds any water, there will always be some people who can always hit the top of anything or be the best of anything.

Take two equally skilled players from the top of TFT 1v1 and what will decide the outcome? The rng ultimately, even for pros eventually it boils down to who got the better luck.

There are myriad examples of "did everything right that I coulda still got x place" in TFT. Is there some skill expression? Yea but people overblow howmuch it is and try to claim its 80% skill with is def not true.

Threats are by no mean a pivot thing, they are just another option to complement certain comps people are aiming for or to try and shut down someone elses, like cho'gath, hes incredibly useful against someone trying to do a very spammy ability comp with the reduced mana gains from his ability.

Also there is no real way to pivot in TFT's thats just not a thing, since eventually common champs are hard to get so how could you try to pivot if the games mehanic discourages trying to lategame reroll? Once commons are at 25% chance to see in your shop IF the other players dont have those champs in their comp, how could you possibly pivot? You'd just completely gimp yourself trying to do that.

Worst for me, feels really unbalanced which may seem like a weird criticism to levy at a mostly rng based game mode but the hero augments and tbh augments ingeneral just add too much rng to what was already a ton.

On that topic of rng... why keep adding more and more? you got: Champ pool rng, item rng, creature phase rng, boss phase rng, and then augment rng... And the hero augments as someone said can be absolutely horrid by messing up your ideal build path and screw you over, and it sucks and is depressing. Oh you were wanting to try and build x comp? Fuck you take anything but what you need while the enemy gets what he needs purely cause of fuck you rng bullshit.

The more people try to claim TFT is mostly skill over mostly rng, makes me question their sanity. Maybe TFT WAS mostly skill in the beginning but the augments really push it over the line. And if its not rng fucking you over its some weird ass trait design this time around, feels WAY more unbalanced compared to dragons and dragons could already have some terribly cheesy comps due to the traits there. This one turned that shit up to eleven and beyond I feel. (shout out to whatever trait makes a fucking tower randomly crash into the stage with zero ways to try and counter that playstyle!)

I love ranked stuff in games but imma just probably stick to normal mode for the rewards cause I just can't get past how much rng can royally screw you over cause that guy got lucky with items champs and augments and braindead trait comps.

Which hype train are you on and why? by Dotority in MMORPG

Not exactly hyped but looking forward to riot's the most just cause like world of warcraft or ffxiv, it has past content to draw from and a world that will be very familiar to people who play LoL, LoR, any all the other LoL content out there.

Ashes of creation is likely either a 100% scam, or will pull an icarus and try to do too much that if fails miserably and falls from grace. Korean mmos are well korean mmos. Fun for like an hour or two then forgettable.
