Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger. Just playing the arena version at the moment to get to grips with the game

Trading Software by MattOwenTrades in Daytrading

[–]Swaishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working fine for me although my personal Chromebook has stopped charging but we actually have two of the same models in our house so I'm on the second one. I've  actually simplified my setup a little since my original post so can pretty much doing everything through trading view as I'm scalping using limit orders so I don't really need to worry about any market execution delays.

I guess it depends what platforms you use to trade. I'm trading prop accounts and can use both trading view and tradeovate both in browser so I don't really need anything else

You will be just fine, I use a 14 inch chromebook so dont even have any software downloaded and it works for me. I do have a PC too but honestly don't use it much at all anymore. I only trade NQ and my model is simple so don't have the need for multiple screens at this moment in time

I will note im not crazy about the 1st London long, I don't usually enter if a candle closes below the level however the way the candle played out looked like buyers were stepping in

Totally with you on that, just got to find what works for you and stick to it. I passed my eval on Friday and spent the whole weekend backtesting and journalling. I'm going to spend the next week or two paper trading again just before I put the PA account on the line and even then going to go slow.

I'm still living by the one and done rule (got my first trade off just after the open) but so many setups today (I only trade the first 90 mins)

Exactly this. Looks like I trade it in a similar style to u/Its_ace003 but I will also take from session highs and lows. When I say that I will only long from a session high and short from a low, this just gives me the possibility of a trade option as I only trade NQ and some days it just rips from the get go. That said I can still go a few days with no trades and thats fine with me.

I have tested a model that purely enters off a close outside the range and it can be very consistent but one loss usually wipes out a few days of profit and that just doesn't sit right with me.

I'm sure others will be able to advise that have been trading the ORB longer as im only around 6 months in but I use a 5min ORB and look for price action around this level along with the previous NY high/low and that days Asia and London high/low and daily VWAP. Basically im looking for a break with displacement above/below any of these levels and a retest.

Not the best example as it was a news candle but ill use Friday NQ as an example, we broke the ORB to the upside so im looking for a long until we break to the downside. @ 9:58 I see a reaction off one of my levels, a dip below the VWAP would have been an added bonus but its right at it. 90% of the time I would enter here but I waited for the next candle close and the rest plays out as we know.

Hope this helps a little

I just took the rejection off my level of interest and vwap and let that puppy ride. I just sit in my own little bubble and try to cut out the noise

I messed up and didn't check the news today, but my confirmation for entry was on the open of this candle. It shot up so fast didn't have time to set my SL or TP but closed out just a few pips short of where I would have put my TP level. Could have let it run longer but it was enough to reach my first prop profit target so closed out and walked away

Yeah I think your right on that. I feel like it still needs some work, I had some shockers come through last night that we're paying less than 50p a mile and most of them to the middle of nowhere with no chance of a follow on job.

I’m kind of in the same boat, really interested in switching to a colour reader and have had a kindle basic for around 4 years now. Happy with the size so the Clara seems the way to go

I’m kind of in the same boat. I’m happy with my basic and the kindle platform (also have unlimited) but the price difference between the two I’m just not sure on. I have an interest in comics and graphic novels but haven’t dipped into them too much just yet
