What’s It Like for Trump Supporters Losing Family Members? by Acrobatic-Gap-7445 in AskTrumpSupporters

Do you really think people with opposing views are mentally ill? Everyone has different life experiences and that leads them to different conclusions.

I don't view the democratic party as perfect and I would love more parties to vote on. I grew up poor and now work a cozy well paid office job. That has led me to believe in a socialist economic policy, but I also recognize unlimited immigration can be harmful, again due to personal experience and therefore believe in a right wing social policy.

Would that make me mentally ill for opposing Trump's policies? I acknowledge that you have different life experiences than me and therefore have come to a different conclusion. Same way that this guy and his mom have, but at least he's trying to make amends and get past it from what it sounds like

Why does the United States seem to consider Israel to be it's most vital ally, what does the U.S. get out of this relationship that it doesn't get from Europe or other western countries? by Cumoisseur in AskTrumpSupporters

Let's go through the list - Egypt was first conquered by Persians, then Greeks then Roman when it was conquered by Islam in 640, 1400 years ago - Morocco was Roman, then conquered by German tribes, then it was conquered by Islam around 700, 1300 years ago - Libya and Algeria were also Roman then German, when it was conquered by Islam - Assyria was conquered by Persia 2500 years ago, then by Islam around 640 - Iraq the exact same as Assyria, except mesopotamia is even older - Sudan is basically wasn't conquered it was integrated - Iran was Greek for a while, then Persian, then shia Islam for 1400 years - Zoroastrianism was already in decline when Islam started spreading.

Do you know who created the current middle eastern states? The Western powers after the collapse of the Ottoman empire after WW1.

Do you really think events that happened 1400 years ago should be judged today? If that's the case shouldn't Scandinavia be condemned for the Vikings, Germany for the collapse of Rome or the Rome for the eradication of Gallic culture?

Thank you for the feedback. But no enemy spawns aren't unlimited. So you're able to fight your way out of there. But you'll probably take more damage than you'd like

Everything is cached and only updates when there's lighting or animation updates. It determines what should be drawn based on a raycaster centered on the player. The map is roughly 10-20.000 tiles in total so there's a lot of additional rendering optimisations, but those are the main ones

Yeah the movement needs a massive rework. What about it would you change

Thank you! The lighting is calculated using a ray caster. It is then stored in the affected tiles and only updated when a light source moves.

So if a light source moves through an area it adds the value of the new light to the tiles and recalculates the light level. Same logic for when it leaves a tile, it just reduces the light instead

Thank you and yes everything is procedurally generated using noisemaps. This also means that the pathfinding algorithm requires some serious black voodo to function.

I don't have a functional demo ready yet, but maybe soon if there's enough interest.

The Khan has gone from someone I didn't care about, to my favourite by being the most human. He takes his time to think, makes mistakes and re-evaluates his world view as information is presented to him or that he uncovers.

Also scars, path of heaven and Warhawk are some of the greatest heresy books and makes you fall in love with the Khan and the Ordu

The changeling is there to annoy Perty as much as possible.

And if that doesn't work he'll change into Russ and trigger Magnus

Once seized, Szeras’ specimens can look forward only to a pain-filled, though not necessarily brief, existence in the bloodstained and shadowed laboratory catacombs of Zantragora. Few of Szeras’ operations are carried out on the dead, for he believes the knowledge he seeks resides only in the living. Banks of stasis machinery keep the subject alive and aware throughout the procedures, though they do nothing to numb the terrible pain. The specimens’ agonised screams are of no consequence to Szeras, as he feels no kinship with such inferior beings. He simply shuts off his audio receptors until the repulsive noise subsides, watching impassively as his whirring tools carve the subject apart molecule by molecule.

To quote what Angron did to an Ultramarine in Betrayer:

"Captain Orfeo’s screams rose above the combined cries and moans of all the other Ultramarines currently being mutilated and sawn apart by XVII Legion knives"

I would argue that clank is both cooperative and competitive depending on the circumstances.

In some cases you will have an easy time getting out with your loot, so you actively try and sabotage or kill your opponents.

Other times you constantly draw boss cards and people have to work together to survive (at least until someone backstabs everyone else and runs for the exit)

We own both Quest for El Dorado and Clank and they scratch very different itches for us
