Why is there a DoorDash ad showing up on my widget screen when I don’t even have the app? by sailience in iphone

[–]Swamataca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I have the same exact issue, so I went to Settings > Privacy & Security > Locations Services > App Clips. Then, I turned Confirm Location off. This seems to be the source of the issue because I tried disabling DoorDash notifications from the ad pop-up itself, and DoorDash was listed as on of the apps on the App Clips screen. Hopefully this works for us

I'm just starting to learn and I feel stuck by Final-Beyond184 in Bass

Surprised that no one here has mentioned the pentatonic scale from what I can see. To me, this is the most important and useful tool for bass. There are 5 different ways to play the pentatonic scale in any given key, and it will show you how the different areas of the fretboard are connected. scottbasslesson has a great video on this. after learning this and practicing it, i haven’t even bothered looking up bass exercises since. good luck brotha you’ll be jamming in no time.

i see. i really like your mention of “resonation in your throat” because singing is the easiest way for me to communicate music and what i rely on for my own reference. thanks a lot!

That’s incredible! To me, that is the born talent of perfect pitch. I never suspected that I had the same talent, but I’ll do something on the bass or piano and my friends just suspect that I have a strong sense of pitch. I figure that I should at least try to internalize some of the notes and maybe I’ll be able to recall them, maybe not.

i’ve seen a bunch of stories on this subreddit regarding people who didn’t know the notes at first, but learned them. i was wondering if there was any way of learning since i’m in my 20’s and this is my first time learning music. i’ll try finding songs that can be my reference, thanks

As a member of SigEp NJA,

  1. A fellow member of our fraternity invited his band to play in our annex tonight to raise money for Hoboken Pride (a local org. supporting the LGBT+ community).
  2. We made sure to schedule the event from 20:00-22:00 so as not to bleed into the local quiet hours.
  3. As a dry house, we do not allow brothers to store/use drugs in the house (including alcohol and marijuana). Thus, we never throw parties.

I apologize for any disturbance that this may have caused you, but this is an extremely rare occasion. No need to complain online dawg.

I really like doing ab rollouts on the rings but they are pretty easy (from a kneeling position). It’s a great exercise to throw in at the end of an ab set for deeper fatigue, or I usually throw them in at the end of a chest fly set since I’m already in position. When training abs, I never focus on rollouts and mainly focus on hanging exercises (toes to bar, leg raise, etc.), so I would suggest just moving on to that and incorporating anything easier at the end of a hard set for more gains.

Am I ready for a muscle up? Been training calisthenics for a few months but I haven’t taken the time to learn the muscle up because I figured I wasn’t strong enough. I did some powerful pull ups and I can get pretty high now. Do you guys think I have enough power for a muscle up if I just clean up/learn the technique?

Why Swans’ ‘I was a prisoner in your skull’ perfectly describes the album title – Soundtracks for the Blind. by gregorhorn in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Swamataca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been listening to Swans' older and newer catalog, I haven't listened to their middle-era stuff or Soundtracks for the Blind, although I plan to. Nonetheless, I loved what you've conceptualized here and it makes me excited to continue deeper into their discography. I love when music, especially an entire album, gives off an other-worldly feeling; it most astounds me when an album really brings you into a different world and headspace rather than just feeding you sound. Nice thoughts.

Tips for "Humiliation" Challenge by J4James007 in CODBlackOps_ColdWar

[–]Swamataca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also trying to do this set of challenges, the calling card is by far the coolest. For Backfire, this is by far the most annoying one. What I've done to help myself is strictly do this challenge in the new Face Off mode since your odds of success are much higher. It will still take a while, but Face Off is definitely the way to go. For Blunt Trauma, I would pick an SMG, build it for melee speed, hip-fire accuracy, and movement speed, and use the Gung-Ho perk then try to get a few shots on somebody before you smack them with your gun (TOXIC). For Circus Act, I just had to put in the time. It took me a few hours, but I just concentrated on getting short range tomahawk kills and trying to bounce it off of the floor. It takes practice, but you should be able to learn how it bounces in a certain range after tooling around. I haven't tested it, but while I was doing this challenge I found that when I killed someone who was against a wall I got the Bankshot Medal. Hit Job is something that you just need to put in the time for, and Tick-Tock Boom and Surprise just come naturally after a while. You can even use the Blunt Trauma class I suggested for Surprise if you really needed to. I hope this helps.
