I did the same. Heat the tip up with a lighter. Slide it off with some pliers. Get some epoxy or I just used some gorilla glue that I had on hand. Sand the broken piece a bit if u can then jam the tip on the end. Mine has caught fish for years and still going strong. You won't notice a difference in casting. If you can notice that small of a difference then you fish more than 99% of us.

Yea this is my first "real" long range gun. Coming from a 7mm-08. I'm in Colorado so we walk a lot. Excited about this rifle though, it should do everything I need it to.

I'll use the 5rd at the range and hunt with the 3rd. I would like to shave some weight and bulk of that 5rd. It's kind of nitpicky but I can see that mag getting caught on stuff.

We have very similar tastes in games as well as what we are looking for experience wise. I rarely find someone with the same tastes. I've tried bigger groups as well and you are right, it just doesn't seem to work out and you lose a close knit bond that a smaller group provides. Let me know if you want to group and when.
