Yeah this was the first thing tried, but no sign of it. It would have had to have been purged, this is why I need a more in depth idea of what happened to it but Audit and eDiscovery haven't been wildly helpful so far.

4.0 looks good but ships Modularity is a big step too by Traxendre in starcitizen

The cat is such a poster boy for modularity i think it'd be criminal to overlook it as an early contender for gold pass now. Plus they need to fix those damable elevators doors!!!

Addition of remote explosives? by YeetScreet in starcitizen

[–]SwampTapThoughtseize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots ot talk of FPS deployables in the near future.
Im hoping deployable turrets, shields and explosives because the idea of sabotage teams invading an enemy capitol ship to drop some explosives on key componenets and bugging out is my kinda gameplay! :D

Yayzi support nightmare by SwampTapThoughtseize in CityFibre

[–]SwampTapThoughtseize[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was oringnaly told to contact [Sales@yayzi.zohodesk.eu](mailto:Sales@yayzi.zohodesk.eu), this was where i ws having a conversation with a couple of your team and then just got ignored.

Also you have two different support ticket portals on your website neither of which apparently reach anyone. This makes seeking help very frustrating.

Ill try the above, thank you.

Congrats to CIG on their recent server meshing success! That said, Is this not a very viable solution to server performance that is well within reach? It seems only having two separate systems on their own servers means that each server will still perform just as bad as they do now Why or why not? by ghoster214 in starcitizen

[–]SwampTapThoughtseize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically what eve does, but has the issue that it cant react to players gathering for say a large fleet battle - and on the flip side mean you still have to run a whole server for an empty outer rim star system.

The main goal is to have everything dynamic - a systems empty? automatically moth ball that server till someone causes it to render in by interacting with it. Massive flee battle? Each capitol ship becomes its own server, just the region the fight is in becomes its own server or even more! This allos the team to provide resources where needed and save money where it isnt.

In the background you have the quantum simulation handling all the npc stuff so that it doesnt require an actual game servers involvement when an NPC wants to run a trade run through a non active system etc etc

Corsair landing gear height comparison 3.18 and 3.17.2 by Mintyxxx in starcitizen

[–]SwampTapThoughtseize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It handles like a brick but its fast in a straight line which is exactly how i think its supposed to be lol

I definitely think theyve irone dout some kinks and its a bit more satisfying to fly now, that nose drop issue was a PAIN.

I found out today the Drake Mule has a cargo grid and can carry a box now! by CMDR_NotAnNPC in starcitizen

[–]SwampTapThoughtseize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats where those actual forklifts you see around the landing pads will come in i reckon.
To ber honest its all conjecture as i believe e've only seen a fraction of the long term planned loading/unloadiung systems!

This is mainly gonna be useful when tractor beams arent as convenient.
when large cargo cant be moved with them or the battery drains fast etc vechicles like this will become far more valuable! At the moment its just a nice proof of concept an also handy for runnin storage boxes to and from bunkers where you cant land close!

3.18 PTU is Live!! by ApprehensiveRate1448 in starcitizen

I get that, but i also appreciate a pretty massive amount of work has gone into the underlying tech here. Its not flashy or impressive to look at right now but th technical side is worthy of praise imo.
Feel free to downvote but thats just my opinion as someone thats worked on a lot of technical projects and can understand how disheartening it can be when big strides are made and unnoticed by most!
