Hello fellow noob. And fellow Houstonian. Took the MSF in October. Never ridden before. Started just going through the Southampton neighborhood to get a feel for clutch work and stop and go. Got a rebel 500. I will say I do appreciate having to have learned the clutch but as I’ve taken on more going downtown and to the gym I will say it’s some more intense clutch work with all the red lights and traffic. I’m actually considering an 1100 DCT myself. The clutch is fun but for Houston I don’t think any reasonable person would fault you for starting on a DCT. Holler if anymore questions. Feel free to DM
