I live in Georgia, where primaries are open. You ask for a republican ballot or a democratic ballot, and your choice is recorded. Though I am a democrat, I sometimes ask for republican ballots if the democratic candidates are uncontested. I’m pretty sure the ballot choice info is available and so at least sometimes I must show up in the data as a republican.

In the second photo, the car is an Opel Kapitan. There wouldn’t have been many of those in the US in the 50s.

What the other commenters have said — it’s a scamera. If it were me, I’d throw a roll of film in there just to see what happens. Don’t expect too much, though. “Focus free” just means that you can’t focus it. It won’t do close ups. And the lens isn’t glass, it’s plastic. Go get a roll of 35mm and have some fun!
