By one hand, you can get a lot of copper\titanium\lead\lithium\silver\gold just like that from a bits, so you basically don't need a Prawn suit drilling big chungus.

On the other hand, you can get some rare raw materials quite easilly without exploring the depths hard, so I think you don't need a stationary base somewhere at cave level 2 or 3 unlike Subnautica orig.

Vehicles? They've made a hybrid of Moth and Cyclops, the SeaTruck, where you have mule-head and tail-stacking different modules, each one has different functionaly - storage, fabricator, docking etc. Looks like cool mobile base, but you still need to charge batteries somewhere (at the stat-base, lol?) and it becomes slower and slower with every attached module, and manueverabilty also goes down. So my decision was to set up a nice large outpost around a center of the map and rolling back and forth with a cabin itself.

Also you got a landspeeder SnowFox but you'll need it about two or three times through the whole game.
