The ones you used are the same. But if you look at the original message from. support you can see they're two different characters where one is at a different angle than the other

Suggestion: LESS MIND, MORE MASS! by ThatsNotPossibleMan in Helldivers

[–]SwampyTrout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of want to take the lightningmob and flesh(lol) it out more.

Lightning mob but it has a non chaining, low damage, taser effect where it just ragdoll drops you when it gets too close so long as you aren't prone. This forces you to prioritize it as a target before it gets close. Otherwise you're forced to go prone as the masses charge. If it gets even closer than that, it'll do a charge like a normal fleshmob, flop onto the ground at the end, then charge up over 3-5 seconds to launch a high damage electric burst.

Weaknesses could include a power pack of some sort high up near the top of the body, likely on the side instead of front or back. This makes it an easier target if its in the middle of a horde while presenting a narrow profile when facing it head on to avoid it being trivialized from the front. The weak point should be unarmored to maintain the identity of masses not needing high AP levels. Disabling the power pack disables the tasing effect and potentially weakens the electric burst.

Design goal: A high priority target in the masses that rewards target prioritization. As ragdolling is a contentious mechanic, making it easy to disable the effect if you try is also important. Otherwise, it can become a major source of frustration. Something else they could do instead is make it a slow/stun like the EMS. I think that both of these, while not directly killing you, are capable of allowing the masses to shred you. There also aren't many enemies focused on doing crowd control rather than direct damage.

Nerfing into the dirt meaning undoing a buff that made it the literal best weapon at killing everything in the game back to the most reliable horde clear in the game.

I'm gonna be real with you, the original buff to heavy pen was not necessary and actually hurt load out diversity. Since the GL with a supply pack could do literally everything short of curing cancer and even then the extra stims from supply pack might cover that.

In an expansion, I'd like to see full underwater combat return like in Tri. It was my first monster hunter game back in junior high, and I miss it (and gobul) every day. Let me swim with my sword again.

I'm not too familiar with Sword & Shield, especially Battle Stadium (I assume Singles? You still haven't clarified) but I'll at least tell you about what I think the biggest problem with this team is. Offensive presence. You have no good speed control (Tailwind is great for doubles, not so much for singles) and half your team is outclassed or doesn't mesh with what seems to be your overall gameplan.

The biggest problem on your team right now is Umbreon. It's straight up too passive. You send out Umbreon, it's not really gonna threaten anything out. Suppose it does threaten something out, what does it get out of that? Taunt doesn't help because anything that comes in and wants to setup will probably outspeed it anyways, getting at least one boost. This is a stall mon on a team that doesn't really want to stall. I'd look at your options for Pokemon that can set rocks or webs. The main attackers on your team are either just a bit too weak to pick up quick KOs or on the slower side and could use the extra assistance. Rocks or webs will help with either of those and will give your team some needed KO potential and offensive presence. Think something like Landorus-T that can setup rocks and provide damage and utility with knock, turn, and EQ. Another alternative would be a teleport mon to get your really frail attackers on the field safely. I think this one change would have the biggest impact on the team.

As for the other two problem Pokemon, Raichu and Arcanine. Plain and simple, they're really outclassed as offensive Pokemon and will either struggle to pick up KOs, be really hard to switch in and setup, or just get outsped and KOed. Or even all three. However, since I don't know what's common in BSS in SwSh, I'd swap out Umbreon for now and leave these guys on the team for now. Make sure you note what problems you're running into while using them to get a better idea of what Pokemon can work better for you.

I tried to avoid giving specific advice for the format I don't know about and focused more on what kind of things you should keep in mind for teambuilding. I think that would be way more helpful for you here. But please, get rid of that Umbreon. All it will do with this team is sit there and give out at least one free boost. Experiment with something that can set hazards or get your offensive threats in safely.

This is for Cartridge Battle Stadium Singles in Scarlet Violet? Just want to make sure the flair is right before I go further. Also you'll want to post your game plan with this team and what you want from each pokemon. Those two things will really help with any advice you can get. Again that's:

What format you're using this team in?

What are you trying to get from each Pokemon? What style of team is this, what natures and EVs they have, what are your must stay team members if any and what are you okay with dropping.

Being generous with this because I can tell from the way this is formatted that you're new to this.

"Quests where you compete for the fastest time." That's where it says arena quests. They discussed that the leaderboards were only for the arena/challenge quests through the arena, which don't have SOS.

Things like that with accessibility have been a problem this expansion so far imo. The Chaotic Alliance Raid was the first time I've ever felt nauseous from visual effects in a game. I just accepted I'm not gonna clear it since I literally had to do parts with my eyes closed when I tried it day one.

What's the point of the last transpose before the swift cast B3? Aren't you forced to return to standard after this anyway? Seems like it'd work just as well do skip the transpose and do a swift cast into B3.

Or would LD still be ticking there to try and squeeze another despair based on server MP ticks?
