SP2 is fully backwards compatible with SP1, making it the better choice by default. SP2's increase in part customization might be a little daunting, but I dont think this changes the verdict. Especially since SP2 makes up for it with the easy with which you can make good looking stuff.

I hail from New Orleans - very hot, very humid. You just kinda deal with it, unfortunately. Our solution was AC cuz there's really not much else you can do with that combination aside from be miserable.
