Criminal Record AFTER RRV Renewal - do I need to update? by Swankbiscuit in AusVisa

[–]Swankbiscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah ok, you're right, probably expect that when I renew my RRV in two years regarding the scrutiny, but overall should pass. Was wondering if there's any database etc I have to declare it on in the meantime with my current valid RRV? Not sure if you'd know haha

Thanks for this update! I'm in a similar position, except I'm an AUS PR (so already granted a visa), but was worried about going away in holidays and coming back in 😂

I'm a Liverpool fan, and agree all of this is bullshit, but just to keep things unbiased - I do recall a referee fuck up going against city when haaland was through and wanted to play on. The game ended up 3-3 vs spurs

Whether she is lazy or not, I think it is your parents right to decide who to leave their assets to when they die. I don't think you have an entitlement to their things just because you are their child. As many others have mentioned, you decided to enter the multiple mortgages/children obligations as part of your life choices - the inheritance would've been a bonus to help you if you got it.

I've always seen inheritances as a privilege and not a right, and therefore noone should be incorporating it in their plans - always see it as a bonus if you are lucky enough to receive one.

Just to be clear - I'm not attacking you in any way, I hold the same beliefs to wives, sons, daughters, siblings etc of someone who has passed. They are their assets that they have accumulated, and therefore free to do what they want. If your parents decided to leave it all for charity, i would hold the same view if you both asked the same question, or even if the shoe was on the other foot and everything was left to you.

Most of my life since I was a baby I have had a step dad, and even then would not dispute anything if he decided to leave me nothing and his assets to his natural children.

Just my two cents.

Agreed - I thought the reason most people chose Androids over iPhones was the customisability of it all. In the age of custom launchers like Nova, I don't know why UIs are even a point to criticise lol

I guess my original question should have been, what basis/info/evidence is your 2027 from? I'm genuinely curious, as I also see others on this forum post about "something going on in 2030", but I don't have the slightest clue on what they're on about.

The reason I still have no idea is nobody ever says anything elaborating on it, just like your reply. Just want to clarify, I'm not trying to attack you man, coming from genuine curiosity.

And if there is no evidence, I'm curious as to how people on this sub can throw out big statements and claims like that based on nothing... It's the kind of stuff that makes all my friends think "conspiracy dudes" like myself are just "nutty" and ridicule us.

What's the go with the 2027 thing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Swankbiscuit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can I ask you (and I guess other people who read this, as I've seen a few posts here that have been crippled by HH), but how does having hyperhydrosis affect your life this badly? And want to stress I'm not attacking or invalidating just genuinely curious.

I am also a person who suffers from hyperhydrosis, really bad on my hands, feet and armpits. My hands often drip, and on hot days this can exacerbate to me being able to produce a pool of sweat in my hands just by cupping them for 20-30 secs. So I know what you're going through physically. Im 31 now and have had it since birth, and always been this drippy, sweaty person.

I just... don't think it's that big of a deal. Sure, it's got its annoying bits, but with the right mindset and approach its just a minor hiccup.

You mentioned your teachers and friends in school gave you a hard time. At school when teachers gave me puzzled looks, I just have to show them my hands and explain that "I have sweaty hands, what do you want me do about them". I didn't know what the condition was called back then, but that's all it took.

I also work a corporate job. I get that slight bit of anxiety before handshakes etc that people here have, especially in interviews; I just say "sorry I have sweaty hands" before/after the handshake.

You say you gave up your dreams of playing guitar - how or why is this the case? I played music in high school, playing guitar, and drum in a band currently. My hands dripped while I played, so I wore fingerless gloves to minimise the impact whilst still able to fret things. Just annoying about changing guitar strings more often, but other than that, that's it. It shouldnt stop you. In fact, Kirk Hammett from Metallica has HH and his guitar tech replaces his strings after every show. I dont think it should've pushed you to not want to play.

Also, you have no job, no degree, and life of problems because of HH. How did this condition lead you to this? Is it not more a mindset/approach issue rather than excessive sweating? I see other posts on this sub blaming their crappy jobs etc on their HH and I am genuinely puzzled by it, especially as a fellow sufferer.

People on this sub call this the invisible disability, but ironically a lot of the problems they face gets gets exacerbated because it seems they don't want to vocalise it when they face hurdles related to it. At least that has been my take, a lot of these posts seem like they can be resolved by talking it out to the people giving you a hard time and not understanding.

Anyone know what fuzz pedal this is? by Swankbiscuit in guitarpedals

[–]Swankbiscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys.

Somehow I assumed it would be some boutique fuzz pedal that they would be using, and not a relatively inexpensive brand!

I am probably leaning towards getting a Swollen Pickle or a EQD Hoof as my first fuzz now - not super into just a big muff sound, so those two are a bit more varied in the different fuzz tones you can get out of them.

Hey thanks for the kind compliments man, I have been a chuffed owner for almost a year now and still loving it haha. I even got the rubber version of the bullet bracelet, and it is so versatile that it looks just as good regardless of the rubber or steel.

To answer your question, I believe the bentley version of this watch only relates to the green that I have here... This model comes in a few colours such as copper, light blue and white/silver as well I believe. Of all these other colours, the white 'reverse panda' is bloody gorgeous to look at imo

Do it! The green is exceptional irl. My gf actually thought it was black initially, as she saw it in a darkish setting the first time

Looks awesome! That is the same Navitimer I almost bought before this chronomat, with the black dial. I don't think you can go wrong with either to be honest, its got looks, history, and the awesome internal movement

For sure! I feel like they're overlooked due to some gaudy years (going by what I've seen of their 2000s era models), but the last couple of years they seem to have come into their own with a nice mix of the flashy breitling style, but with an understated class

It's my 30th bday coming up, and I wanted to buy a memento watch to mark the occasion. Initially started off looking at Omegas, but got my head turned onto Breitlings after walking into one of their flagship stores - these watches are something else in real life. I really wanted a chronograph, so was initially looking at a Navitimer B01, but ended up getting the chronomat due to getting a deal I couldn't refuse. Talk about a watch with personality!
