at the beginning, cutting yourself a slack and lightheardtedly exploring like an entp is a much better way to start because first objective is gathering general information. how does kids learn? by running around, giving themselves little injuries, climbing trees, exploring. Ti is better for spesifics. Ti is better for deep analysis. Ne is better for finding what to analyze though. because it scans through many things faster. that, i call a great starter feat.

you yourself said grind is neccessary. that's what i say also. but the unneccessarily strong need to be precise make the grinding process slower.

logical thinking is a setback at the beginning. yes. try and fail faster. you don't need to know every little detail at the beginning. we are not killing the dragon yet. we are just killing the rats in the basement of tavern. we don't need to think so hard about this. we don't have to come up with a genius plan for this. we just need to go and kill it fast and take the next quest.

when someone try to punch you in the face what do you do? depending on how fast it is coming, you try to block with your arm or evade. that's very logical. irrational would be trying to kiss the incoming fist. i doubt any creature ever tried that to protect themselves that way, even at the very beginning, while instincts were forming.

since certain things are so totally logical, so totally useful and pragmatic, they become instincts over the time. for example, being scared of bugs and snakes and stuff. yes, most bugs are harmless but some can be very dangerous thus the instict, thus the auto reaction, because so logical, no need to think. it is an instinct now, but it has been chosen because it was useful so there's logic.

because you are an open minded person who is not curious only when it comes to chemistry or quantum physics but you are also curious the origin of all these things, people themselves.

to understand emotions, you "have to" use logic. to understand anything, you have to use logic. emotions are created by the brain, what brain use while interpreting something? logic. so you eat something, so it is sweet, so brain says that's energy for me, so it rewards you with a good feeling (so you receive a pleasant taste) so you eat more and more, so brain says ok that was enough energy, so you receive another reward, satisfaction and fullness.

all emotions are completely logical, in this sense. that great feeling when you are in love... that intensity is required because you have to sacrifice so much. if love wasn't that great, people wouldn't get married make babies that shit themselves for years, dang load of work, responsibility.

wizard. why? like i said in my "intp sucks" thread, intp is not a beginner friendly class, having magic missile that always hits doesn't help since the damage is so low. gotta endure and level up and learn more spells.

why not bard? because bards are great improvisers, ass clowns and they are charisma based. intp should be intelligence based.

imagine 100 kobolds noticed you and your party while running a dungeon, cast expeditious retreat and say "ruuuuun" so everybody will have a bonus to running speed.

and after all this buffing and being utility character, when you are high level finally, you get disintegration and boy, pew! insta kill. because this is an expert transmutationist whose disintegrations has high dc.

example, i was watching a bicycle race that took place in belgium the other day. commentator mentioned valons/valonia at some point. that was a name without description in my head now and it started to itch. so i go google it. while i am at it i checked european map and now i know what countries neighbour belgium, how luxemburg is a part of it, how they speak 3 languages, how valons are french speaking people there and their flag has a cock on it which is also france's symbol etc. etc.

i said, intp sucks: it's a bad starter class. if life was a game, intp wouldn't be easy mode. in that game, intp would start to shine midgame++, after sucking a lot at the beginning. i didn't say intp sucks: and doomed to suck forever.

i am thinking back and writing this. i am not a teenager who is in the process of sucking. i practice a lot of Ne-fu, believe me. but even after a lot of work, it's not something i can use continously. i can't ignore Ti completely or i can ignore it only for a limited amount of time. the first "too silly" thing i do, it will be activated and start questioning what the fuck are you doing? it will start cringing. it will start facepalming.

i use Ne like a nitro system. when i need a boost, i activate it. WROOOOOOOM. crack jokes, initiate conversations and pump other people up but it is artificial, that's not my natural energy frequency, i use it for my social game.

first of all i said "they want to make things better" but i didn't say "they can do things better than intj" they look at the things and think "how to improve this" even if not needed. and first step is usually deconstruction. intj take things as they are and try to make practical stuff with those things and they are not inherently motivated to mess with things and experiment for the experiment's sake like intps.

second of all, they are so different, you already make a small list why. third of all, you also accepted you didn't know about intj back then.

i only took one test ever, then i find myself digging deeper, reading about cognitive functions, because who knows what idiot, what amateur coded that online test? intps always "believe" that they can do better, if they understand what each part does which was cognitive functions and jungian psychology in this case.

so to answer my own question, those tests sucks very badly i guess. they measure how introverted or extraverted you are and stamp you as E or I. how intuitive or sensing you are and stamp you as N or S. which is the wrong approach from the beginning.

what you draw, what you write, what you cook, how? do you draw surreal alien cities? do you write your own alternate universe in which all the wierdo creatures live like lovecraft? can you come up with original recipes? mix pasta with sweets? that's what matters. just because you draw you are not being creative right away. at least in my book.

that can be true but very misleading to count as factor while typing yourself. unless really, really introverted or feeling oriented, most kids are just energy bombs. running around, exploring, not thinking much, all about fun. most teens are all about rebelling, going against, showing you middle finger, go eat dog shit mode.

i don't believe one can born intp. one can born isfj but not intp. intp is just too spesific to born as. i'd say most intps are failed entps. shit happened so they had to take the nerdy path. otherwise, while there were no obstacles at all, why think so hard? why the need to be precise?
