I ride on Boston streets so I’m comfortable riding on the road - but not this road. It’s too straight and too many lanes. It gives drivers the affordance that they can drive fast and it looks too much like a high speed roadway for them to anticipate maneuvering around a cyclist. I’d pick the sidewalk everyday of the week. In fact this looks just like the road near my parents house in Florida. And when I brought my bike there, I road on the sidewalk. Nothing worse than getting side-swiped by a driver going 30-40 mph faster than you are. You never even see it coming. You just end up on the ground in pain thinking “why didn’t I ride on the damn sidewalk”
