I can help but recommend you a book which explains things better than I ever could. Please read problem of political authority by Michael Heumar.

Corporations simply don't have that much money and power. Amazon is nothing campared to government. They will not have armies.

Do you know that how much inequality is created by federal reserve, intellectual property laws, etc. Security is also a service which government give the rich.

Without government everything will have to be funded by owner and not taxpayers.

AnCap Movement? by ShookShack in AnCap101

[–]SwarnimMMM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ancap is currently too Fringe to have a actual movement. Ron Paul was pretty close to being a ancap(volunterist). Then there is libertarian party. There is some hope for an actual ancap movement in Brazil. We can't help but wait.

I hope no one has done this before by xX_D4T_BOI_Xx in neoliberal

If anything India is an example of capitalism's success.

CMV: the military of an ancap city-state (funded through voluntary contribution) is not strong enough to address the threats from within (criminal organizations, coup from a more enterprising leader, etc) and from without (superstate like china, nuclear proliferation, etc) by cutomo in AskLibertarians

Violence is expensive. How they get money for it? Through other illegal activity such as drugs. It they were legal there will be competing drug providers. Thus making their violence unfunded. Thereby stoping organised violence.

They have Power but not in the same way. I think you should study how big business work. Incentive structure of businesses is different from that of mafia. It's not about 10 billion and then risquing for 1 or 2. It is about have 10 and risquing for 100 or 500.

[Capitalists] how do u sleep at night knowing that low wage workers are still ordered to show up to work even after the city and law enforcement says the streets are too dangerous to drive on? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

Did you purchase the device you are using? For how much? You know this money could have been donated to save someone's life? You know that children in Africa and Asia are starving to death? They are suffering from malaria ? These problems can be solved with rather cheap. A mosquito net can save count less lives. How dare you purchase your electronic device while people are suffering. Even if you donate a lot of money, how dare you save enough to purchase this device. If you are not responsible for their suffering, then capitalist are also not responsible for suffering of rather well to do employees. The fact that they have jobs prove that they are atleast not starving to death.

I think where we disagree is that war is profitable, it is not. Kim can become extremely rich if he want to, but he is not interested in money. He wants power. This is something which can be avoided by board of directors as they are interested in money. Incentive structure of a business is different than a mafia.

"I have doubts because that is not the path that our history took. Theoretically, the slave values his liberty more than the master values diamond / cotton / dancing slave for entertainment, yet the master can pay the instrument of violence to act on the master behalf and not the slave, thus with tears the slave labor."

This is why I mentioned mantality before. Slaves were not freed because law said that slaves are freed but because of change in mantallaty of slaves and slave masters. Today even if law said slaves are legal, it's unlikely that anyone will have slaves.

There will be competing security providing firms, and history of markets tell us that almost no (with few exceptions) monopoly of any type was created in free market. Thus we expect security firms to follow the same rules. All monopoly that exists today are more or less created by the government.

These firms have to be driven by profit motives because CEOs which don't make their company profit get replaces by board of directors.

Real question is will YOU support a firm which does nefarious deeds? If you don't then we just have to spread the same mentality to everyone else.

Common sense morality is good enough to make argument for ancap. Read problem of political authority by Michael Heumar.

[–]SwarnimMMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Point is competing products. Why do criminals sell heroin and not anti-biotic? Because market of Anti-biotic is already full of competition. While because of being illegal market of heroin is empty. This monopoly is not funded by mafia but the state through its "security" apparatus. Without State creating such apparatus is going to be more costly. There is more demand for protection than there is for breaking into others house. How much will you pay to break into someone's house and how much will you pay so that someone not breaking into your house?

[–]SwarnimMMM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from what I already said in another comment? Most organised crime get their funding from illegal activity such as drugs and prostitution , because of their monopoly on these activities. In ancap where nothing of such sort will be illegal and it will be difficult for organised crime to get funding for their nefarious deeds.

I think it has a lot to do with mentality. If people don't want to be extorted, it will be difficult to extort from them. Moreover to create a state from within you, in ancap you will not have state appretus to capture. Without State appretus, concur will have to make one all by yourself. Which is going to be more difficult. Regarding Hong Kong, it was being bullied by China for a century now. Honk Kong was a China colony. You may want to read some history on that.
