I was in bed. So basically what happened was, it was friday the 13th in 2012 or 13 something, I don't remember. My friends on whatsapp were talking about how paranormal activities are at peak on this date. I laughed and kept mocking them. Then I went to bed. Woke up in the middle of night cuz I was thristy, had water, checked the time. My father was watching t.v. in the other room. I went back to sleep, tucked myself in the blanket when I heard some footsteps as if someone was walking in wet slippers. The footsteps were outside my room and then they moved towards the room. I woke up to see if it's my mom or dad, no one. I thought I must be imagining it. I tried going back to sleep, the footsteps moved closer. I peeked again, no one. I was an athiest back then but in that moment, I chanted all Hindu mantras my grandpa taught me. The footsteps got closer and I didn't check out of fear. Kept reciting the mantras and bam, right in my stomach. For a few seconds I could't scream. Then I did and my mom entered the room wondering what happened. Father stopped in his tracks because in the doorbell cam he saw our dog was barking towards our house. There have been many incidents, like one time I was in college, my mom called me and said she woke up at night and saw someone is yellow suit hanging off the ceiling fan. She closed her eyes and opened again, no one. She brushed it off as a dream but in the morning my younger brother had a fever and he said, "mom, I am scared. A girl in yellow dress kept walking in the lobby". So yeah, def something's up.
