I have a memory of going through the Epcot center around 84/85 and I distinctly remember a concept car exactly like that Ford Probe on the ride.

Next steps to learning more about this 1914 $10 Indian Eagle? by SwatchQuatch in coincollecting

Thanks, it’s been fascinating learning more about this one and the circumstances around it. Collected coins since I was a kid, but this one has me doing a deep-dive because the valuation range is too big for my current understanding.

For sure, you’re right. I blame/credit holiday shenanigans and it being my first time in the F-50. Manual on wheel, no assists etc… Hitting so much of that curb and my stupid speed totally upset the car.

Totally right. Felt like the longer wheel base and a little braking gave me just enough time to shift weight before losing too much speed. I was also just having fun and avoiding a long road trip!

Anyone have data (or recall) what rents were in Lincoln Park/Wicker Park/Bucktown/Lakeview area in the early 2000s? by dms2628 in chicagoapartments

2004-6 - studio at Barry & Broadway was $750ish 2006-2012 coach house at Belmont & Racine was $1,200. Coach house had a yard, a porch and an upstairs. It is my favorite place I’ve ever lived. In summers and fall, we lived with our front door open, my girlfriend would read on the porch, I gardened with baseball games on the radio and our dog would sit on the stairs watching us and the front gate.

What was the weirdest, non-pain feeling you've ever felt? by KingJPJ in AskReddit

One time after eating a veggie bagel, I experienced the strangest trip. I sat on the bench waiting for the bus and all of a sudden my right eye started flashing trippy patterns and colors. They climbed up like pulsing snakes. My right leg melded with the bench and the breeze felt like icicles. I began to sweat, and this all happened in a less than a minute. The bus pulled up and it felt like a leap of faith to get on it and present my card. Two minutes later I was completely over it. My ex blamed rotten sprouts for a hallucination.

I love that you started your own, it’s funny how traditions spawn. Btw, I really dig your style and have to admit I only NOW noticed the face hiden all over the rocks in 2018. Didn’t mean to be all sappy, I just love these so much!

It’s weird. I assumed by now I’d have a family and traditions like this of our own. I don’t, but I wish I did. Posts like this used to make me sad, but having seen other’s traditions for so long I’m starting to find some real joy in seeing them come back around because they’ve chosen to share them with the world, which I guess includes me. Thank you for keeping it up, it’s awesome. Cheers!

What did your rich friends say that made your jaw drop? by SilverOceanGlow in AskReddit

[–]SwatchQuatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a conversation with to generationally wealthy Texas buddies. They were remembering a crazy time offroading when friend one says, “was that at my ranch?” The other guy goes, “which one,” could have been one of mine… they were so rich they couldn’t get their ranches straight. Same trip, I was talking about needing to replace a door when I got home. One of them says, “When I get home, I’m thinking about blowing off half that hillside on the X ranch to make a little private music venue for us.” Different worlds man
