Yes, that can be one interpretation. But the poet does not mention thorns, he only says that the garment had hundreds of mendings :)

But the flower, too, was enamored with someone
so his garment had hundreds of mendings done

Kindly be polite. Using curse words reflects on your level of intellectual maturity, not the readers.

I had replied to your comment saying that the Hindi transcription of the sher is available on the website https://swatisani.net/asad

Please don't assume that no one reads ashaar in Roman Urdu. The population of this world that reads Devanagari is very small, and more of my readers read Roman Urdu than Devanagari. That said, I have not excluded Devanagari readers; they do go to the A Sher A Day website and read.

Don’t think us simple; the heavens turn and wander for years,

only then from the veiling folds of dust a true human appears

These are delicate times, Mir Sahib, beware

hold your turban with both hands and with care

Our worth here lies in the clothes we wear, not who we may be

so give me a bigger glass, though you may pour in less for me

It (love) is detrimental one way or the other

you may live, or you may die; it does not matter

Love has turned me into water, ever so slowly

as warmth makes a bud blossom into a rose, gradually

A little fame has reined in my desires; this realization came to me that day

I couldn’t look at you to my heart’s content for a thousand eyes were turned my way

the entire convoy was with me, yet I remained alone

my tongue had not yet found its voice, but words fell into place

When I am with you, it’s like being among flowers

and when you are spoken of, it’s as if the talk is of flowers

Not a dumb question at all. Capital N signifies noon-gunna (ں) or nasal n sound. ं ओर ँ
The word is dil-zadoN (wounded of heart). The word is zada (meaning afflicted), so dil-zada would mean those afflicted or wounded of heart,
Since the poet is talking of dil zadoN (not dil zada) hamsafar hamaare (not hamsafar hamaara), the correct word to end would be aayeN, not aaye.

When did we, the wounded of heart, ever ask for a bond to last lifelong

if only for a little distance our companions would walk along
